How Screwed Am I? I Didn’t Realize it was a Time Sensitive Delivery 😭

How screwed am I 😭

Alright so I got an Alto delivery. I totally forgot Roadie sent us a notice that these orders had to be done on time & now I see why. Why oh why is Alto just letting us take their orders without at least stating somewhere that these are time sensitive orders & need to be delivered on time?

I feel awful I ruined this woman’s evening because I hadn’t realized I was supposed to be on time since the app is always telling us a different drop off time every time so I thought I had more time & took other orders on different apps thinking ok I’m sure these people don’t mind if their orders are late?? Alto lets us leave these orders unattended as long as it’s in a safe spot without a signature so I took the liberty to multi-app & take my time on the delivery. 😭

I’m finally on this lady’s delivery as she was last & she’s firing off on me blowing up my phone pissed & saying how shes gonna make a formal complaint to Alto. I guess she thought I was one of their drivers & not on a 3rd party app where they’re actually probably forced to be on time & thinks I’ll get fired or whatever.

I tried explaining to her how I didn’t understand it was time sensitive & that I thought I could just leave it at her door & it’d be fine as I didn’t need a signature but she still made her complaint. 🙄

I mean this is the first time this has happened on an Alto delivery as I don’t get them often so I’m hoping Roadie will let it slide this time. 😭

Yea no thank you to the Alto deliveries then!! This is gonna be my last one. 😡 They’re a waste of time I’m seeing now if they’re time sensitive apparently so I can’t multi-app.

I’m sick of people just randomly downvoting for no reason. I do everything right!

Was it because it was a stack? I had a three stack where parking was difficult in all three locations so it took some time not to mention the slight waits at these restaurants & the drop-offs! All these customers were in winding apartments with slow elevators.

Should I just stop taking stacks? I’m starting to just get inclined to straight up ask people to leave a rating because I’m tired of being penalized just for wanting to make extra money. It’s not like their food is arriving cold I have them in hot bags. What do I have to start doing to prevent these bad ratings during stacks do I need to start informing customers their order is in a stack so there may be delays due to bad parking situations, etc.

Or just skip the stacks altogether? These low tipping orders Uber tries to push on us in a stack should be skipped right?

I was dealing with an issue with my car for the past two days & was upset I couldn’t deliver on Sunday the big earnings day.

Well during the downtime I was freaking out & needing money as my bank account was at zero. I just wanted to have some money for a little food to eat. /:

I crawled down a whole rabbit hole on a subreddit on here & discovered there’s actually games as well as surveys you can play/take to make money! How did I ever not know this?!

I use JustPlay & it’s definitely not much at all so far I’ve only made $5. They force you to watch a bunch of ads through the games but you earn more doing that. For the surveys I’ve been using the app called Eureka & I’ve made $14 so far not bad at all considering that’s what Uber wants to compensate us majority of the time even less!

I definitely think this’ll come in handy for anyone who does instant cashout constantly so you can at least earn something for the cashout fee. It seems very easy to get to $2 on JustPlay. I wish I’d known this was a thing sooner so I can at least be making something while I’m waiting on orders or for Uber to send me an order itself!! Lmfao

Does anyone else do this? I’m not sure if it would be effective doing the games on the same phone as food deliveries since obviously you want battery life to do deliveries so I’m assuming you would have to purchase a second phone just to play games & do surveys? I don’t know it’d be great to hear from someone else who’s thought to do this. Lol
