Go to do a drop off…take the picture. Before I can upload…
*sends order for 20 miles and crap pay*
*declines*
*tries to take picture again*
*immediately sends another order*
FFS I guess I need to start turning orders off again on each pickup since they took my coffee cup away. I hope whoever thought this was a bright idea steps on a Lego or 5.

Cute…

Paid off some credit card debt, treated myself here and there, paid some bills, however I noticed very early on how humbling it is to work as a food delivery driver. Not only the customers, but the restaurant employees treat you so differently. I will forever respect and tip my delivery driver exceptionally well going forward. (P.S , yes this my property delivering myself some food 😹).

Is it just me or did door dash just try to send me a subliminal? Lol
There are a handful of restaurants in my area that always have the food ready or occasionally make you wait 5 minutes at most. Even if they're insanely busy, the food is always ready to go quickly. It's impressive and makes our job function the way it's meant to.

LOL!!
Edit! This was only for 90 minutes!! lol

Just curious if any drivers out there have received the promised boosted fuel relief payments. It doesn’t really explain when you would be receiving the extra money, just that it would be added on top of your earnings and tips.
what even is the point of making me wait 8 minutes for a PIN, calling and texting the customer, if at the end of the countdown Uber has me leave the order anyway? I was really hoping there was going to be a free bite to eat at the end of that 8 minutes standing in the cold at 3am. Does Uber ever tell you to just keep the food? Is there a penalty if I just skip the PIN and countdown and deliver the order before the timer so I’m not wasting my life on the shitty customer?
for clarification: I’m referring to when you arrive to the correct location, knock on the door, message, call, etc and the customer refuses to engage with me in order to provide the PIN, so I have to wait out the timer before I’m allowed to leave.

Any tips? I choose my orders wisely. Do I just accept some crappy orders to get the $555, how can I balance it to where I can get the $555 and not accept too many garbage orders. It probably just depends on what orders I receive. Or should go about business per usual 6-7 hours $150-200 daily?
Okay so i live in a relatively small university town. but uber eats / door dash is super popular on the campuses. so it’s available, i ordered from timhortons, not 1, but 2!!! people drove all the way there, was stationary for over 10 minutes, then cancelled?? now i’m waiting on this third guy. why does this happen? it’s not a large order. it’s two drinks two sandwiches. It’s not far, i’m a 7 min drive not even from the tim’s.

has anyone seen anything like this before? usually base pay is less than 1/10 of this for 20 miles.

So I don't know if anybody else has noticed, but I have since not too long after I first started delivering. ( If you haven't noticed you might wanna go back and do an audit on your own stuff)
Most of the time you do not get all the quest incentives. Even if you earned them.
Let's say you did 5 trips for the 4 hours or 5 hours to get all 5 quest incentives. Some of those were batches too, and are supposed to still count. But you only got 3 incentives. Not 5.
Bring on the endless phone calls and messages in the app.
EXCUSES LIKE...
Your trips were not in the designated area for the quest.
You did not get them done in time to get the money for all the quest incentives...
So check your stuff people. They can't be trusted obviously.

Me: Ouuu a dollar general order 11 bucks, to go 3 mins up the road. Lets do it…find out its 6 cases of water and 4 gallon jugs of water. Customer wanted me to put inside while listening to instructions on a ring camera to get the pin. I said hello nah…put ts on the porch and click I need help and can’t confirm pin and left🤣 probably the craziest uber order I had.

My market was tough to squeeze out $160 today Sunday ain’t the greatest but damn. How was everyone else Sunday?
If you’re in an acceptance quest (x amount of $$$ guaranteed for x amount of trips in less than x amount rejects) Just close the app and wait a bit before reopening to avoid a reject! Share this with your fellow delivery person/driver. (iOS)

$4.61 for 24.3 miles is absolutely insane. I was getting these types of orders all day. The crazy thing to me is that i cherry picked out a few decent orders, and they were still not that amazing, but tonight after looking at tips and base pay. Uber only paid $2 on every single order and I had imo pretty good tips all night after looking through. Just a little rant and also thought some of you might want to see the screenshots. STL area. Also doordash is running in the background. Doordash was offering me +$3.50 an order for peak pay and then literally sent me zero orders lol
