meal times at treatment centres

maybe it’s just me, but i feel like meal times at treatment centres are always so early?

i’ve grown up in a family where it’s normal to have dinner at like 7/8pm, but in treatment it’s usually around 5/5:30pm. which then means breakfast, am snack, lunch, and pm snack get pushed really close together, and your final snack is at like 8pm. i would then often end up feeling hungry again before i went to sleep.

is there a reason they do this? it was like this in both IP wards i’ve been in, and the same at the day service i’m starting at soon. i’m not looking forward to it ahh

pease pudding?

i bought pease pudding today for the first time and had it on a bread roll with some squeaky bean chicken, and liked it! for anyone else unfamiliar with it, i would describe it as very thick hummus with a strong lentil/mushy pea flavour.

im not from the north east and had never tried it before today. from my googling, ive seen it’s typically eaten in ham sandwiches, but was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for how else to use it?
