Advice for HR Opportunities in the Netherlands ,International HR Profile Based in Belgium

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking for a new opportunity in the Netherlands. I live in Belgium, very close to the Dutch border, and I would really love to continue my career there.

My background is mainly in HR leadership roles: HR Director, HRBP, Compensation & Benefits and Total Rewards positions. I have experience in international environments and I speak French, English and Spanish fluently.

My only challenge at the moment is Dutch ,my level is still around A2, but I’m motivated to improve quickly.

If you know companies that are open to international profiles, or if you have any advice/recommendations regarding the Dutch job market in HR, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you so much!

HR IN BELGIUM

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask honestly… in Belgium, is it really difficult to find a job as an HR Director, Group HRBP or Comp & Ben Manager when your Dutch level is only A2?

I speak French, English and Spanish fluently, and I have solid HR experience, but I feel like Dutch blocks me for senior roles sometimes 😅

For people working in HR in Belgium:

do international companies care less about Dutch?

can you still get senior HR roles mainly in English?

did improving your Dutch really change things for you?

Any advice or experience would really help me 🙏

Hi everyone,

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to ask if anyone here has already gone through an interview for a Senior HR Business Partner role with a multi-country HRBP Director.

Do you have any examples of typical questions that might be asked?

How does this kind of interview usually go?

What are the main areas or topics they tend to focus on in practice?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
