OpenAI Platform option in chatGPT web

Noticed a new option in chatgpt web. The + button to choose the task type (agent, web search, deep research, camera, create photo, etc) now shows OpenAI Platform.

How is this different form the others. What does it do? Not a lot of recent news or info about it but it only just appeared for me.

Free OpenCode models

I started using opencode 2 days ago and love(d) it at first. It's acrtually pretty good and some of the models seem to output some good content if you repeatedly improve and reiterate the code and product you're working on. For every model so far though (MiniMax 2.5, Big Pickle, Hy3, Nemotron, and a few others I've forgotten), i've hit a limit. Big Pickel was the most generous but that also gave up on me this afternoon.

After the 12hr wait/reset period, it asks me to pay for Go to continue using it, regardless.

Are there any true free models with OpenCode that are capable coding models and that remain free for the duration of the use? If yes - how are they added and used in opencode? Or is the answer no, and that after a short while, everyone ends up paying and it's not really open/free after all?

I’m using Qwen3 through LM Studio and finding it tricky to get anything genuinely usable out of it.

I’m starting to wonder if the issue is that I’m using LM Studio mostly as a chat interface. I've also got Codex, OpenCode, VS Code, Mistral and a few other suites in use so I'm comparing what the outputs look like.

For those getting good results:

  • What have you actually built with Qwen3?
  • Are you using Qwen3 or Qwen3-Coder?
  • Are you using LM Studio chat directly, or connecting it to VS Code/Roo/Continue/Cursor?
  • What model size, quant, and hardware are you using?
  • What settings made the biggest difference?

I’m especially interested in real examples of anyone who's managed to put together a successful website / online platform end to end.

Trying to work out whether I’m doing it wrong, expecting too much, or just using the wrong setup.

This isn't the first time I've come back to my pc and seen the dell logo and the bios progress bar moving.

I was running some coding agents before and 90mins later I come back and my pc is doing a bios update? Wtf?

Is minimax m2.5 any good?

I've seen it available for free on OpenCode and now that OpenCode head a nice desktop interface I'm thinking to give it a go.

Can it reliably build websites, platforms, and systems end to end including Auth and security?

I see the 2.7 version is also available from minimax directly for a recently priced sub.

What does M2.5 compare to in terms of the more established models from openai/Claude?

I’ve started using Codex and noticed the built-in Chat feature/tool, but I’m not fully clear on the best way to use it.

Do people use it mainly for quick explanations, debugging, planning changes, reviewing diffs, or guiding the agent while it works?

It seems to create artefacts after each prompt / question I give it, rather than responding in-chat (like chatGPT normally would). What's the idea of the feature?

Any tips, workflows, or lessons for getting better results from it would be appreciated.
