About me: 5’7, average build. I, like everyone else on reddit, play video games (PC), not very picky when it comes to what exactly, usually open to trying most games. What I choose to play on my own differs from what I play with other people, usually up for anything, especially coop or survival.

When it comes to music, I mostly listen to electronic stuff (Madeon, Porter Pobinson, ODESZA, Flume, etc). But I do occasionally like a random song that isn’t what I usually listen to. I used to listen to Linkin Park alot as a kid and I am starting to get back into it a little bit. I have also started to listen to some Jrock as well.

Sci-Fi movies are always to the to-go for me, I am both a star wars fan and a trekkie. Other movies I love are Interstellar, Arrival and LOTR, Scott pilgrim vs the world and others. I also love a good mystery/thriller.

Have not always been the biggest anime fan but I decided that now is a good time to start getting into it so please hit me up with recs!

I am also a huge space nerd (super unique, right?) in general and know a lot of space facts that aren’t very helpful to anyone but are fun to know anyway.

I like to read sometimes but I tend to take long breaks in between books. I mostly read non-fiction books, (Carl Sagan, Neil deGrasse Tyson, etc) and also psychology books. But I have been looking for a good fiction book recently so hit me up with recs.

Thats it for all the surface level stuff, gonna keep some things about myself off the post so you can get to know me. :)

I have started traveling recently (so far I have visited Japan, Italy and Germany) so I am also looking for someone who would be willing to do that, looking to visit Japan (again because it was really fun) and/or South Korea this year.

Who I am looking for:

Just someone nice who would like to talk and actually give the conversation time to grow, I love when someone tells me about things they care about that no one else does. That kind of passion inspires me. Also please be someone who actively participates in the conversation and is inquisitive and asks questions, if you are going to just sit there and have me ask you everything, then it wont work out.

I would also prefer that you are comfortable in your own skin. I get that everyone can be a little shy, but…I am 29 and I am not getting any younger. So I would prefer if you are honest from the get go and don’t try to send fake pics or obfuscate what you look like, so we can both save time. I will always send up to date pics on my end of course.

Now a couple of things that kinda matter:

1. I don’t have a problem with religion but you should know that I am atheist and prefer someone who is the same or agnostic.

2. Please actually have something in common with me in terms of interests mentioned above. I have had way too many conversations with people here where it felt like I was pulling teeth because we did not actually have anything in common. Common interests are important for successful relationships!

3. I prefer someone local to southern california but i am also open to LDR.

4. I lean left politically and would appreciate someone along those lines.

Someone between the ages of 25-31 would be nice, but I might be ok with a year older or younger.

Its not a deal breaker for me but, I would prefer if you played video games, specifically on PC.

I wont be responding to accounts that are less then 4 months old, sorry :(

Again, please be prepared to exchange pics early on. I think it helps us both avoid the anxiety of wondering what the other person looks like over the long term :) (and no worries, ill go first)
