I’m a young butch who’s still in school. All of my teachers know I use they/them pronouns there (mine are actually they/he but it’s easier to use they in school). In the middle of math class, my teacher called me “she”, which stung a lot. I don’t even dress feminine; the only thing that could be considered as such is my 30”+ hair that I’m not allowed to cut due to my parents. It just pissed me off.
I’m interested in buying the Jadon Max down the line and am wondering how they look in person… I’m a butch lesbian who frequently wears baggy jeans and I’m wondering if the soles will be too tall/look silly. If you have any photos of you wearing them, that’d be great!
During 4th period, my teacher was away so we had a sub. Usually my teachers inform substitutes that I go by a different name and pronouns than they might expect. They write this on the paper attendance. However, my deadname is on the computer attendance. I saw this substitute reaching for the red attendance binder, so I thought I was safe. Big mistake. She took attendance by the computer and went, “*DEADNAME?*” which made me slam my head against my desk and begin to cry. She then made it worse, “*DEADNAME?* Do we have a *DEADNAME* here today?” I then put my hand up to make it fucking stop. She then came up to me later, used my deadname to refer to me, and later saw my chosen name on the paper attendance and did a halfhearted “sorry, I didn’t know”. I haven’t cried in school like that in a long time. Not to mention that I was doing SO well. Barely anybody had known my deadname before today and now I’m scared that’s all I’ll be called. I’m hurting so much right now.
