X440: Feeling good about my purchase

Helmet: Studds Asphalt

I have also purchased an AllExtreme Disc lock and a Jio tag.

Edit: Regarding the helmet. I was willing to splurge more than 10k on the helmet because I am aware that helmet quality is non negotiable. However, I had a few requirements:

  1. Should have a sun visor
  2. Must match my bike in its color
  3. Must have at least pin 30
  4. Must definitely be less than 1500g. The biggest requirement.

SMK, AXOR and other helmets satisfied most but not all. Studds Asphalt was the only one that came close. I am using it and it is great.

Did the youth of India wake up one day in 2026 and decide to buy new bikes all of a sudden?

I am noticing so many new Hondas, 100s of variants of Enfields, Triumphs, KTMs, xPulses on the roads lately, glinting in the sunlight.

I obviously know that our bikes are opened inside out but these videos have opened my eyes in terms of how many tiny parts are there.

And now a new fear has unlocked in me after 10 years of bike riding.

Because there are a million tiny parts and since nothing is dependable implicitly in India, I wonder if these service guys actually put everything back in its place.

Because even a single ball bearing missing would mean that we are road kill on our beautiful pot hole filled roads.

However seeing that we don't have a lot of malfunction related accidents, can it be said that the service guys are actually doing their jobs properly and I don't have much to

Fear?

YOU ARE THE WORST.

Nimmantha kittod bvc galu yaaru illa tilkondbidi.

I don't prefer road rage, that's why I am venting here.

Are you so fucking busy running multiple countries that you don't have time to park on the side and talk? Is that conversation so important that you have to finish it while riding like an asshole and putting other's lives at risk?

Fuck you.

Delivery guys: Use a mobile holder. Neev ond kaili phone itkond road poorti tooradkond odsod nodudre maiyella uriyatte. I want to sympthise with you guys but I remember that you don't have to ride like that.

Other guys: Fuck you.

Remember that every other vehicle around you is cursing you and your family. If this doesn't open your eyes, you are truly a ah()l

I intentionally ride/drive close to them and start hitting the horn loudly without looking at them. The momentary disorientation and irritation that they feel is priceless.

Edit: Title should have been One Week, not One Month

Pros:

  1. The Bike looks amazing
  2. It surges super fast when I upshift from 2nd to 3rd
  3. The exhaust note is amazing

Cons:

These are mostly my individual subjective experiences. I am 5.5 and weigh 65.

  1. Bike feels heavy and I am still getting used to it. I am still under-confident when I slide into a main road into the oncoming traffic on the main road from an elevated junction of an inside road,
  2. Heat sink should have been better. The air and oil cooling doesn't seem to doing a good job.
  3. The gear shift indicator does not exactly sync with what the bike demands.
  4. If you are of my height, this bike is unrideable if you are not wearing shoes. Not even slippers, you need to be wearing shoes if you don't want to hyperventilate and question your purchase in the middle of traffic.

I am looking for a seat that is lower in height compared to the stock seat of Harley x440 Vivid. The current stock seat is 805mm.

Please suggest reputed seat manufacturers or modifiers who can reduce the height of the seat and still make it comfortable, or who can manufacture seats compatible with x440.

I prefer a new seat since I would like to keep the stock seat with me for re sale. Additionally would getting touring seat help with my requirements?

I am 5'5, and I over estimated my ability to handle this bike in terms of its height of 805mm.

Is it possible to change the seat of this bike such that the height reduces by a few cm?

If yes, how do I go about it? Whom should I contact?
