Nissan Leaf for Weekend Trips..

Hi all! We are considering a 2022 Nissan Leaf, but we don’t really need a car for commuting, which we know is why people tend to like Leafs. We’re wanting it for day trips and weekend trips to get out of the city. Maybe 50-75 miles one way to spend a weekend at the coast, etc. The battery health is great, and we know the range is fine, but we’ve read about the battery only using passive cooling and we’re a bit worried about that. We have a home charger, but we also know that this model uses a kind of rapid charging that is going to be obsolete at some point. Has anyone had issues with charging a car like this out in the wild? Or issues with overheating?

Any opinions / advice on this, or alternative cars to consider would be welcome!

First Time Car in UK

Hello all. We are middle-aged, experienced car owners and drivers from another country, but I now have my UK driving license, so we’re looking to buy a car. Insurance seems to work differently here, so the one thing we can’t figure out is how to get a car home from the lot.. Since we don’t know the exact car we will buy until we go see a few, we cannot get insurance on it in advance, so how do I drive it home? It would be uninsured for the drive home. Is it common for the car to be delivered? It seems a minor thing, but in our prior country, you get insurance in advance as it isn’t tied to the specific vehicle, so the logistics are perplexing me. Thanks in advance!
