Long time lurker, first time DE user here. It is apparently THAT good.

The main reason I switched from Mach3s were financial, I shave my head almost everyday and my beard few times a week, I'm 24, so 30 euros per 10 blade packs seemed unnecessary. Today I tried a double edged razor for the first time, got a Mühle R89, Proraso shaving soap and a Barbury's brush.
It was truly the smoothest, most enjoyable shave I've ever had. I only went for the beard this time, had to do a lot of passes both with the grain and against the grain but almost none felt irritating. I'm not sure if I was happy with the brush or not, it did leave some strands here and there. In the end I managed with only a few nicks (?) around the adam's apple, though they were not cuts but looked like the razor tugged the hairs? I'm not sure. I'm just very pleasantly surprised, and I'd love some tips for a newcomer!

▲ 4 r/bulova

I've posted this on r/watches as well but hearing more people won't hurt! So I've been eyeing the Lunar Pilot for some time now. My wrist circumference is around 7.5 inches, but I feel like the original 45mm would still wear a bit too big for my taste (or would it?). Unfortunately there is no dealer that holds Bulova where I live so I don't have the chance to try it on. I was primarily focused on the 43mm new iterations, both due to size and due to the polished case, personally not a huge fan of the satin brushed version. I've narrowed it down to the Blue Panda version and the original color scheme, I really love the look of the panda but (what I assume is) the PVD coating on the pushers got me worried about its longevity. I feel like the black dial would also takes straps better. I also have some concerns regarding the flat rising crystal and whether if it's a scratch/chip magnet. Would love to hear your thoughts & experiences!
