System update schedule?

How often do these come out for the watch my pixel 9 pro has the May update. I just checked my watch and it says the latest update was March for it. Is there a schedule? If so, how often do they push them out?

Struggling with getting some kind of "hands free" capability going

Without going down the loooong rathole of all the things I've tried, let me sum up what I'm looking for

Google Pixel 9 Pro, latest (may 26) build as of this writing.

What I want:

I want to be able to get in the car (no Android auto), put my phone in the mount, plug it in, and be able to be hands free from there. this means:

"Hey Google, play me some <genre> music on you tube music" (I have a premium account)

"Hey Google, call <contact> on his/her mobile.

"Hey Google, send a text message to <contact> mobile number"

"Hey Google, navigate to <location Or business or contact>."

Now, it seems to be a crapshoot as the whether Google or Gemini will respond. Gemini won't look up contact address, won't send a text message, Google Assistant (GA) will.

The more I type this the more I realize what I really want is for Gemini to be my default assistant when not driving, but GA when I am driving. Maybe there is an automation (macro droid?) to turn on GA in the car and turn on Gemini when you exit the car?

Also, for some reason Gemini no longer responds audibly. I realize that can be annoying when with people around, but I need it when driving.

Gemini Live is sort of there but it won't do any of the hands free stuff at all.

I think y'all get the idea hear, how do you use the new world of GA and Gemini when you are driving and want to be totally Hands Free.

Just when you push them in and expect the "click" feeling they stop and won't go in anymore. I've tried several cable with no luck.

I bought them in December of 2025. Is there a warranty and how would I imitate a claim? Or, has anybody had this happen and fixed it? All I tried so far was compressed air.

Thanks

...And there's nothing quite like sitting in Market Square, having a nice, peaceful cup of coffee and suddenly one of the major assholes or two jump on their motorcycles, rev it up to about a thousand decibels, and then blast the smoke into where you are sitting.

Why can't the city give these idiots someplace else to park instead of right there?

Here is what I discovered(finally) today.

I have Gemini as my assistant. Pixel 9 phone. Hold the power button it comes up. Say "hey google" it pops up. Works great and I love it. Except when I get in the car.

I finally figured out why and it is Waze. Waze auto starts when I get in the car and start the engine and the bluetooth kick in. Then "Hey Google" would only bring up the old assistent. This was true even if Waze ran in the background. If I exited it, all went back to normal.

Bottom line is I now us just Maps, even though I kind of prefer Waze, not have the ability to use voice for hands free control it just isn't worth it.

Thinking about the Faro area for 2 months. This is a big commitment so I'm looking for suggestions. Probably Feb and March next year. Not married to Faro, just interested in the Southern Portugal area. Not necessarily for hanging out at the beach, but want relatively mild dry weather (50f +) during the day and things to keep busy with, restaurants, sights, good walking area. Happy to hear your thoughts on it.
