Getting into Mods

Anybody able to offer some advice on how to safely go about adding mods to my game? The only game I’ve ever played w/ mods was Skyrim which required 0 real skill or knowledge since it was built into the default game menu.

I know that Elden Ring has the easy anti-cheat software on PC that comes w/ the threat of getting banned so I wanted to find out how to safely add mods without facing any risk.

If anyone could help me out or at least point me in the right direction it’d be much appreciated! Thanks!

Keyboard + Mouse vs. Controller

Hey all, quick question here.

I recently found my old Razer BlackWidow keyboard and it made me curious about trying Elden Ring on KB+M instead of controller.

From what I’ve always heard, the game seems like it was designed around controller gameplay, but I’ve also seen people say KB+M becomes perfectly viable once you remap the controls properly.

For those of you who actually play on keyboard + mouse, what would you say are the biggest differences compared to controller?

Are there any specific keybinds or settings you’d recommend changing right away?

Just curious what the community consensus is nowadays. Thanks!

Which area in Elden Ring was the most visually breathtaking to you?

For me, it has to be Siofra River. I still remember taking that elevator down and realizing the underground area was basically its own hidden world. Easily one of the most beautiful gaming moments I’ve experienced.

What location completely blew you away on your first playthrough?

Starting a fresh character and I want to do something completely different from my usual playstyle.

Instead of going with a standard/meta build, I’m looking for something more unique or unconventional that’s actually fun to play through the game with.

I’m open to literally anything—melee, ranged, magic, hybrid, weird niche setups, whatever you’ve had fun with.

If you’ve got a build you enjoyed that isn’t just the typical “YouTube meta,” I’d love to hear it. Especially interested in:

  • Weapon + armor combos
  • Talismans that really change how the build plays
  • Any incantations/sorceries that make it feel different

Bonus points if it has a cool theme or playstyle instead of just raw damage.

Appreciate any ideas 👍

Hey all,

I was wondering why it is that so many Elden Ring players stop at level 150 and if there’s a specific reason for it because now I’m thinking about making a new character just to do it since I’m already almost level 400.

Ideally I’d really like to stay playing on my main (finally reached NG+7) but I’m prepared to bite the bullet and make a new character if necessary.

Is it just so that you are able to do pvp better or is there something else that I’m missing? I personally intended to max out and reach level 713 eventually unless there is a clear reason not to.

If anybody could please help explain that for me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
