About to have a fair amount of irrigation installed - what system should I use?

  • ~ 2,500 sq. ft. of grass needing sprinklers
  • 200+ ft long drip zone around the edge of property
  • 3 garden boxes drip zone

I have an old 2-valve system controlled by an Orbit unit, looks like this one but just older obv. I don't know how many valves ill need for the newer system but we are having our small back yard completely re-done and I know i'll need more than two. Both landscape quotes said they would need to enlarge the system, add more zones in a larger ground valve box.

All I know is I kinda hate those rainbird sprinkler heads for the way they clog, and even when theyre not clogged i just cant seem to get their spray-range right, random dead spots in their spray radius no matter how much I fiddle with it.

How do people like their outdoor kitchens?

My wife and I have a 1 year old so getting out the door is harder than it used to be. We are ready to ditch our tent and get a small camper we can tow with our 3,500 lb limit. My vision is to minimize packing and setup since the camper will be our bed and store our gear bin/folding chairs, etc. We both love the idea of an outdoor kitchen to keep us outside and be able to just pop the kitchen hatch and have our kitchen ready to go. As opposed to setting up a table, wash station, cooler, etc.

What I am finding is that it is very hard to find small camper that can also fit our son in his own bed that ALSO has an outdoor kitchen. The T@b 320-CS is close but they dont make it anymore and most models I come across have a bathroom taking up all the space. The newer models opt for a dinky indoor kitchen that I can't even stand up in. There are so many awesome tear drop campers but our son really needs his own bed. We might have to settle for a Scamp/Casita style camper but really hate the idea of letting go of the outdoor kitchen vision.

So with so few options out there, is the outdoor kitchen just not that good?
