Sorry for the photo bombs. Hopefully, you can see the one I'm talking about. She swims and does stuff normally. I'm chalking it up to old age (most are around 3 years old). I don't really do much water testing anymore but I can if people would like. Everyone is active as usual in the tank and I do bi-weekly top-offs and partial changes about monthly.
Edit:. Sorry folks, just brought it up to my wife and she doesn't want him anywhere in the main tank lol

Here's the post for future people if they have the same question though:
Heya folks, my wife's betta is in a lil 2 gallon next to my 55g community tank. I'm sure he just looks at them and iswondering the title.
It's "stand" his tank is on will be going away soon and I'll have to move him elsewhere. To alleviate the constant water upkeep and hopefully give him a bit more "freedom and community", I was wondering about adding my wife's betta into my community tank.
However, I don't think it's a good idea to give it free reign and was considering buying or making a large (3-5g) isolation/acclimation box, inside my 55g community tank. I'd essentially be creating a sort of separate living area for it, where it can't attack or be attacked, but, share the water and somewhat interact with the other fish. I'd most his substrate decor and plants into his new "cell" with him.
Has anyone done this?
ETA:
I don't really want to let it out of the acclimation tank. It'd be a sort of permanent room for it in the main aquarium.
Someone asked about releasing it into th3 tank at large so...
My wife kinda doesn't really want him "in the wild" with the community. However, here's the stocking:
- g, planted
- skirt tetras
- mixed neon tetras
- SAE
- FF
- Galaxy Rasboras/CPDs
- Various neocaridina skrimps
- POSSIBLY a pom pom crab in there somewhere.
- nerite snails
Greetings fellow humans! I saw a post earlier with a "balloon black ram" and I researched it a bit. I've found it's a good community fish. I'm looking to add a few more to my setup now. I know I need to do some trimming, but, if anyone has suggestions on stocking/adding mates to my setup I'm open to suggestions. Most of the molly fish are nearing "end of life" (about 3 years old). All fish are 3+ years, except the CPDs (about 1 year)
55g, planted
4 or 5 molly fish
5 skirt tetras
6 mixed neon tetras
1 SAE
1 FF
3 Galaxy Rasboras/CPDs
1 snowball pleco L471
Various neocaridina skrimps
POSSIBLY a pom pom crab in there somewhere.
3 nerite snails
There's been more rain here than normal the last couple of weeks. Zone 9b
ETA: I got scared about bird feeders nearby so I encased the entire vine in 1/2" wire fencing.
The shed is about 30 get from the house. Granddaughter and I put her house together for a project to do. I then made one from untreated cedar and put cameras on both.
If the blank wilds aren't defined proper to the start of the game, what is the rule when someone plays them? Is there an official rule for this situation?
