Not sure if a post like this is allowed, but any of you have ever had this happen before? I guess next time I should keep the little lid on top closed

Update:

Just a little more information for the people who are curious. Obviously I’m not touching the newly created mansion, and letting the new owner do its thing hahah.

Some were also wondering where this was taken, I live in the Netherlands. I think it’s a “blue tit” (but definitely correct me if I’m wrong).

Update 2:

I have been corrected, it’s a great tit.

It is unfortunate that I am not getting any occupants in my birdhouse even since it was erected on a oak in the south west corner of my backyard. I used my kid's taekwondo breaking boards to build it. Painted it white. The entry hole is set at 1 inch. What am I doing wrong or is the color is offensive?

Picture 2 is the frontage of the birdhouse and picture 3 is the back of the birdhouse.

Looking to hang this on this branch either facing the house, or away from the house, the branch is about 16 feet up. Just looking for some advice on the best way to hang/position this birdhouse. I’m trying to re-wild my yard with native plants bird houses feeders things like that. Thank you!

All cleaned out. Ready for visitors.

I paint them so they weather well and so they aren't boring.

Latest piece/creation by my wife @photogratzia and me. I throw the pots on the wheel and she artistically hand paints . This one is such a nice size with perfect opening for our winged friends! Notice the butterflies and flowers circling the pot. So happy with this and is going to be a special addition to someone’s yard. Love making these. Birdbottle birdhouses go back to Colonial times with settlers hanging them to attract birds so they would eat the insects that could mess with their agriculture. Do you like it?

There’s a strong chance that we’ll get to observe the hatching of a black bellied whistling duck brood this spring. 🤞

PVC

Thoughts on using PVC pips for nests? I want the birds to have a comfortable home and I saw some nests made of PVC. I believe I could put a few tweaks of my own on it and it would be vented.
