hello! im asking for favor/help here. im a south-asian hijabi woman who is awkward & introverted. my religion generally doesnt allow dating, and i need some photos taken to attach to my profile (for online matchmaking sites). i dont have female friends to take my photos, and i want those cute candid/instagram photos (modest though). i dress modestly (dresses but with sneakers). im willing to travel within NYC or LI.

im also willing to pay for the photos and am open to advice/ help on this matter.

hi everyone! im at a point where i have to take matrimony/ "biodata" photos. im introverted/ awkward and hate taking photos. i think not having good photos might be deteriorating my profile. im not beautiful or anything, but im tall, educated and flexible in several areas. i also have the viewpoint that women shouldnt be making themselves pretty for non-mehram and i also dont post myself online. i wear hijab regularly and also to events. i dont wear makeup, but dress femininely. i dont want my "nice" photos to be distributed everywhere.

has anyone ever gone through this? any advice?

does anyone know of any women only sports/teams close to or in queens?

i wear a headscarf and am also a bit self conscious as well. but i’m trying to look for women only sports/ athletic or outside events that can help me get out of bed lol. i’m not athletic and haven’t played a sport but am willing to learn and get into it.

i can try out the gym but am scared of going since i don’t have a gym buddy.

any sort of weekly events/ advice would help!

salam everyone! im thinking about getting married and am not sure show to meet potentials. i’ve told my family/friends. ive seen masjids who have matrimony forms/ matchmaking services but want to ask do they actually work? i’ve filled out 2 but haven’t seen results, i know they take time, but is there an actual active matchmaker on the other end? has this worked for anyone?
