Is there a place in town to sell sports memorabilia?

I have a couple of sports stuff that I’d like to get rid of. They’re not big name players but a popular team.

Is there somewhere in town that will buy them? I don’t want to put them on eBay or Marketplace. Just want a decent value for them and them to get a good home.

Just sold 2 items and about pay for shipping... what if I'm wrong?

I hadn't sold on eBay for years. Before, I would take the item to USPS, they'd weigh it up and I'd pay for the post. Now that I can get it cheaper through eBay, I'm worried what might happen if I'm a little short?

The dimensions should be good. One box I measured and the other had it printed on the box. For the weights, I added a little bit more, like if it was 14oz I just went up to 1lb. But will the USPS check and if it's off, can I just pay the difference there?

I'm missing an ATM deposit... is this normal?

I made a deposit at an ATM on Sunday at about 4:30pm. Yesterday, it was showing online as pending but today it's just gone all together from the website.

I have the email receipt for this. Never had anything like this happen. Should I be concerned or could it show up tomorrow morning?

Looking for a charging pass through door and tripod adaptor for a Hero9

Title says what I’m looking for. There are tons on Amazon so I was just wondering if anyone has suggestions or some to stay away from. It’s mostly kept in my car for driving videos.

I do have a ball mount for my car but it doesn’t have an adaptor for the slide lock thing. Kind of wish I bought that and I could get a tripod mount with that.

Should I invest in an IRA or just stick with my work's 401k?

I'm going to be increasing how much I'm putting into retirement soon. I currently have a Roth 401k at work with a match of 1.5% on the first 2.5% we contribute (I put in $10 work adds $15, just in case I didn't put that right). We have 8 different funds to choose from.

The last 12 months, my personal rate of return is 28.11%. I have my funds pretty diversified across 5 different funds.

In the past, I was taught investment firms (Fidelity, Schwab, etc) had a larger variety of funds, lower expenses, and was a better deal for an IRA once you remove the company match. But would it be worth the hassle? Would they be able to meet or exceed the return I'm getting with my 401k?

And please no DMs about this.

Looking for an IRA... which Financial Institution has the best Quicken support?

I'm using Quicken Classic Deluxe for Mac. I'm looking to get an IRA at a low fee type financial institution in the next few months. I know things change but I'd like to be able to have the best support from Quicken. Just as an example, I've had a 401k at my work place for the last 25 years and I didn't have Quicken access until last year when we switched to Voya.

Car campers… how do you get out?

I’d like to car camp in my BS. I was looking into mattresses and sort of planning it (it’ll be some time so no hurry).

But I got to thinking how I would get out. I don’t have a hatch opening on my key fob. I don’t think there’s an open button inside. Would I crawl through a rear door? I have the button near the steering wheel but I don’t think I could reach that easily.

Which one of these routers would be best to connect to a Velop setup?

I have an older Mac that doens't have wifi. It's also in an area not close to a Velop router and I don't want to run a cable. I have 4 older routers that I was thinking of using to set up next to the Mac, connect to the Mac via ethernet cable, and use that to connect to the Velop network.

I also don't want to keep it connected all the time and will turn it off when not using it but I think this would be the best way to transfer files.

On hand, I have the following routers:

  • Linksys WRT54G
  • Linksys WRT54GS2 V1
  • Linksys WRT150N
  • AirPort Extreme flat one (not sure of the model, it's put away)

Does anyone need a Chiltons repair manual for a 1982-92 Sentra and Pulsar?

I’m doing some cleaning and found this back in my closet. Kind of neat and not sure if I’ll keep it (probably not). I’m taking my old books to Goodwill or Half Priced Books but thought this might get some love on here.

ETA… in case anyone was wondering, I had a 1989 Nissan Pulsar NX.

Looking for decent, BT hook type headphones

I have a pair of AirPod Pro 2 that I use at the gym or if I want something good but I’m looking for a cheaper pair to keep at home for the times I get a phone call while I’m washing dishes or doing things like that. I’d like some with a hook over the ears to keep them in place.

Any suggestions? I don’t want to pay too much, maybe $50 or less.

And after I type that out, I guess I could find better ones for the gym (I think Beats make some that are more active style) or maybe a wired set for home.

ETA… I would like them to be water proof or something that I can rinse them off easily. Sweat, dirt, sand, stuff like that.

Where can I buy term life insurance from?

My credit union and car insurance both offer term life insurance but I’d rather buy it separate from them. I’ve never had to buy insurance and want to get it but have no clue what companies sell them. A starting point would be nice.

And please don’t DM me about this. I won’t buy from you I just want some good brands to look at.

I have a disc protrusion into a nerve root in my lumbar area. I had 6 weeks of physical therapy.

We did McKenzie a few times but never talked about the Dead Bug or Bird Dog. When it ended, he sent me home with new exercises to do and these are not included. I've seen them mentioned several times on here and they were suggested on ChatGPT and Gemini. Did he miss out or maybe he felt they wouldn't help with my specific condition? I am seeing a new physical therapist starting next week after visiting with an orthopedic specialist.

These are the exercises he did send me home with:

  • Double Knee to Chest
  • Modified Piriformis Stretch
  • Side Lying Lumbar Spine Rotation
  • Transverse Abdominis Activation
  • Abdominal Bracing with Marches
  • Hip Adduction Ball Squeeze (I need to get a ball!)
  • Half Kneeling Hip Flexor Stretch
  • Seated Thoracic Extensions (don't like this one, it's hard to find a good chair and I felt a few pops in my back higher than where my issue is)

This plug is next to a window in one of the bedrooms. Many years ago, my grandparents had their window a/c unit plugged into this. The last one we installed used a standard 120 plug but we'd like to replace it and buy one with plug.

On the Home Depot site, when you filter to types of plug, this one isn't a choice. On Lowe's, you pick your volts and then have to look at the individual item to see what kind of plug it has.

I used an outlet tester and it's live and shows 240v but the choices were either that or 120v. Can I use a 230v a/c unit for this plug?

Just wondering if this is normal? I had an MRI that shows some disc protrusions impinging on nerve roots about 8 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago, it felt like I took a down turn with some pain. Now I've notice day shoulders and neck are sore and and pretty much when I move my head or back, I hear and feel creaks.

I'm hoping as my muscles get better and all that, it's allowing for this?

I don't get on it too often, maybe once every few weeks. But almost every time, I have to get my iPhone and sign back in. Is this normal? It's signed into 3 Apple TVs total and maybe some iPhones but we rarely watch it.
