This plot line is hard to follow

I know it’s fiction, I have suspended belief several times before in this show. Ive always liked the show regardless. And I know the season isn’t over so there may be things answered but as more things are revealed there are so many more questions!

>!Master Raymond knew he wasn’t likely to be coming back. For some reason Hildegard can’t be trusted with the baby, why? Raymond tells the lacemaker to look for Lady Broch Turach, but Claire is in the hospital for weeks in the same area… why not tell them that?!<

>!Why does Faith blindly chase Lady Broch Turach to North Carolina without sending a letter to family at Lallybroch, telling them to inform Claire that they’re on their way to meet them. And Jane knew Faith was venturing to find her mother, why hadn’t she attempted to send her own letter once she was with William, or at least told him, hey now that I’m free, I’m looking for this Lady Broch Turach. She doesn’t tell him but she tells a story teller?!<

Tell me if I’m missing something obvious, it all seems so mashed together and random.

Tips for staying warm at night?

This will be mine and my partners 5th multi-day canoe trip. We have taken canoe trips between 3-7 days in Ontario but we usually go in the fall. We stay on a different site every night.

We’re going on a 3 day trip in north-western Ontario that might be the coldest we’ve done yet. It could get up to around 14°c during the day and down to -1°c at night. The coldest we’ve ever camped is 5°c at night and it felt cold!

We have a 3 season tent, insulated mats, 4 season sleeping pads, our sleeping bags are rated for 5°c. We have wool base layers and wool socks, we are bringing hats and mitts, I always keep a heated water bottle in my sleeping bag at night. We will probably drape a tarp over the tent. Are there any other tips or hacks you can think of for staying warm at night?
