Hi everyone, I need some help regarding my original 10th class marks memo.

In 2021, I joined an engineering college through EAMCET convener quota. I went through a known person and the college gave me 10,000 rupees as admission fees back then.

I am from a single parent family. At that time, my mother’s health was not good. She told me to join the college, so I did. During admission, the management asked for my Original 10th class marks memo for "verification" and I gave it to them because I didn't know much about the rules then.

After one month of joining, my mother's health became very serious. I have no siblings, I am the only son and I had to take care of her. When I went to the college to explain my situation and asked for my memo back, they told me: "Either pay 3 Lakhs or come back after 4 years."

Now, 4 years have passed. I even spoke to a lawyer back then, but he also spoke in support of the college side only.

I want to go and ask for my certificate now.

1. Is there a chance they will give it back now?
2. If they still demand 3 Lakhs or refuse to give it, what should I do?

Please guide me as I really need my certificate for my future.
