[Help] Buying a reliable phone for my Mother (Budget Flexible) - Samsung vs. Others?

Hi everyone, I’m looking to buy a new phone for my mother. She has a few specific technical requirements (for certain apps/work), and I want something that is "good in all terms", reliable, easy to use, and long-lasting.

> **The Requirements:**

> * **OS:** Must be Android 12.0 or higher.

> * **Hardware:** At least 4GB RAM and a decent amount of storage (the requirement is only 8GB, but I want more for photos/WhatsApp).

> * **Must-haves:** Excellent GPS for **viewing maps** and a reliable **PDF viewer** for documents.

> **What I’m considering:**

> I was looking at the **OnePlus 15R** and **Vivo V70 Lite**, but I’m worried the OnePlus might be too heavy/overkill and the Vivo might not be the best "all-rounder" for a parent.

> I'm now leaning towards **Samsung** (maybe the **Galaxy A57** or **S24 FE**) because of the simpler software and long-term update support.

> **Budget:** Flexible, but I don't want to overspend on features she won't use (like high-end gaming).

> **Questions:**

> 1. Which Samsung model is the "sweet spot" for a parent right now?

> 2. Is it worth getting a flagship like the S25 series, or is that a waste for basic use?

> 3. Are there any other lightweight, reliable phones I should consider?

> Thanks for the help!

(Also I was leaning towards Oneplus 15R, is it true that the device heats up? And chances of getting neon lines is high?)

[Help] Vivo V70 Lite vs OnePlus 15R - Which one to pick?

Hey everyone, I'm stuck between the Vivo V70 Lite and the OnePlus 15R and could use some help from current owners or tech enthusiasts.

for my mother

I care about battery life and want something that feels smooth for daily tasks.

Camera isn't the absolute #1 priority, but I'd like decent shots.
