After making a post about how I didn’t buy a 2026 hybrid ST Hatch due to the seat comfort, I changed my mind and got one anyway! Any seat modifications?

I just loved the car so much and couldn’t stop thinking about it so I pulled the trigger. Anyone have any modifications to the lumbar, seat cushion, or headrest (extension) that have helped make the seating position more ergonomic for you? I cannot believe the performance this car has while getting 50mpg, and the infotainment and knobs, buttons, switches are just perfection. And don’t get me started on the looks! Have had over 25 cars in my life, only one other civic (2013 Si). Tons of other Hondas an Acuras. Happy to be back.

M1 saying I have $32k of an etf instead of $3200. What happens if I sell all but $3200?

Assume it would sell my full $3200 and nothing more when the system catches it in the background? It’s telling me I can sell the full $32k

Best cost effective long term radon test?

Will be sleeping in basement bedroom in new house. Even though 48h readings came back around 1.8, still want to be safe and see if it’s a real concern with a longer term test.

Got so close to pulling the trigger on a 26 hybrid ST Hatch but a few small things kept me from it.

I’m very deliberate when it comes to buying things, not impulsive. Never bought a new car.

Been researching the hybrid ST civic for awhile and got lucky enough to have an overnight test drive.

The handling, infotainment, cabin, all close to a 10/10 for me. The acceleration is extremely impressive too. The hybrid system did not feel like it was ever interfering or cumbersome.

The only areas it fell short (which to me are very important) were seat comfort and NVH. The seat is a great shape and looks fantastic. However, the lack of lumbar is seriously a problem for some (including myself). With back problems this makes it extremely difficult to tolerate for longer than 30m at a time without aches starting.

The other thing with the seat is how far back the headrest is. In many modern cars the headrest comes out further like an ergonomic office chair, this helps with spine alignment. I felt like I didn’t have a headrest because I had to tilt my head back to such an awkward angle to use it.

The last thing was nvh. While it was the loudest car, it was far louder than my 13 year old Lexus GS on the highway. I had to turn a podcast up pretty damn loud to hear it over the road. The bumps were certainly noticeable as well but not too jarring. I just think the low ride height makes things louder and a bit more amplified in terms of choppy pavement.

This car was close to perfect but these areas are just so important for livability (for me). I’m considering looking at an accord hybrid as it may be better in a few of these areas but there’s no way it handles as well as the civic or can accelerate with all that extra weight.

Thanks for reading. Great sub, great car. Wish it was for me.
