why did you learn shavian?

i'm very curious about shavian! interested in learning it for journalling purposes and for fun, but i'm wondering why other people learn it? what's your motivation and how did you go about it? do you mainly read or write? do you feel like your dialect impacts it a lot? any non-native english speakers?

како ви пишете писано 'ж'?

никако да ми се лепо уклопи, не знам да ли га погрешно пишем или да ли се просто не уклапа као друга слова... такође, каква друга слова су вама тешке?

i am moving into the exam period at my university and i have some completely free days to focus on exam reading, but i find myself stuck in bed until noon because there's nothing "pushing" me to be anywhere except myself... how do you tackle this? i can't seem to stress hard enough to get myself working this way.

bought some unused docs somebody had stored since 2000/2001, planning to set them with leather grease before i use them, any other tips wrt taking them out of long storage? they smell a bit earthy but i think that's just because they've been stored for so long...

hi i'm an aspiring penpaler going on 21 this summer! i study mechanical engineering and my life currently revolves around participating in formula student, but outside of this i enjoy linguistics, movies, filosophy, art and penmanship:) i also like listening to fiction podcasts (wolf 359, time bombs, red valley) and i really like (80s) music (big fan of springsteen, but also mcr, kaizers, kud idijoti, anything i can get my hands on lol) and i like knitting and other crafts when im not busy in the workshop

i'm fluent in norwegian, serbian and english, but i think i could definitely keep up correspondence in french and perhaps german as well, or even korean but that one is quite rusty.... i will be travelling quite a bit this summer with my team, so post-cards could be fun for me to send!

i've long wanted to turn my life a bit more analogue, and writing letters seems like a fine way to do it. i've written some in the past and i really enjoyed it, so i think if you're willing to get some way too long letters i'm your penpal!

i prefer snail mail, and someone who doesn't mind slow communication and cursive handwriting, so if this post has tickled you, please reach out ^__^
