I have quilon, greasy and waxy - is Buckingham like quilon?

My buddy saw me wearing my red DMs recently and stated that he had two pairs from “the 90s” that didn’t fit him and asked if I wanted them. Not knowing if they’d fit, I said that I’d at least like to check them out.

He brought them over before we went to see my favorite band on Friday, MyLife with the Thrill Kill Kult. Lucky for me, the blue pair fit me perfectly, while the brown pair fit my eldest son.

I’ll be cleaning up the brown pair and replacing the laces soon.

I wore the blue pair as is to work today.

Aside from the friendship (we met in 1995 in the barracks, then moved “out in town” together, the price was the best part: free!!!

The synthetic tongue on the blue pair threw me off, I don’t remember if my 1460s that I bought in Iceland in 1992 had leather or synth tongues.

curious to know when these were made, as my only other pair were also thrifted but dont have the DMs tag these ones do, or the same shaped sole, or the logo on the side. tried to get pictures of everything i think is needed to ID them? either way, excellent luck that theyre in my size. thanks for any help :)

Sorry if I’m just confused and it’s normal, they were really pricey and I didn’t want to ruin them.

Realising I'm starting to see extreme heel wear on my docs I got 4 months ago...

I know this is caused by bad gait and I have it on other shoes too, only realised today tho. What can I do to fix this, should I resole (they're still mostly stable and don't hurt) and how can I fix my gait without a podiatrist that I cannot afford?

Does anyone know if this is fixable? These are my favorite shoes, I wear them 3-4 times a week. It’s just one shoe that is broken, the other one is perfect. Can they repair them at the store? I’m so upset because I feel like I expected them to last much longer… Please help!

I found these on depop and jumped on them. The writing on the inside looks just like my 1461 that I got brand new in the 90s plus the bex sole isn't at all see through. I wonder how old they are. In pretty good shape overall.

Hi! I just got my docs around eight or nine months ago, and I noticed I have some pretty mild wear on the rear of one of them. I was wondering if there’s a possibility for me to replace them and get the ones that are identical to the ones that I had in here. Or if you guys have any upgrade recommendations, I’d appreciate it.
