What's next for this cactus opuntia? *Advice needed*
Got this little prickly pear cactus about 3 months ago and it had just the lower "paddle." Since then time it has flowered (and withered) and also grown an entirely new "paddle" up top. It sits on the windowsill getting a lot of southern sun, as instructed by the plant shop.
I'm wondering now if the top heaviness of the new paddle means it's time to re-plant in a larger pot. Also, should the flowers stay in bloom for an extended period of time or do they wither as the summer starts?
For reference, the pot does have drainage and has been watered very sparingly, per the initial instructions (I recall 1 light watering in the last 3 months).
Basically just looking for tips and how to best care for the plant going forward. Bigger pot? Split the two and propagate the top one?
