I've witnessed and experienced this multiple times, why do men turn out super insecure when their woman is doing better than them?

My ex was very insecure about me driving the car and he never even had a licence.

And also I'm studying something better than him and also my career is promising to compound 5× in the future and he wanted me to drop out.

Not only this I've witnessed it with most of the men, like whenever my female friends talk about it.
