How to reach Coorg from Bangalore

Does anyone have specific busses they recommend for Bangalore to Coorg? I’m ideally looking for an AC sleeper bus to travel overnight, but reviews on the various bus booking sites are mixed.

A lot of people recommended KSRTC buses, but I can’t find any AC options.

I’m open to other routes too, but I’m travelling with my mother and a 5-6 hour car journey might be strenuous for her. But if it’s not as stressful then I’m open to that too.

Please share your experience and suggestions!

Need suggestions for stay for unmarried couple

Hi Guys!
I want to visit coorg with my boyfriend. We are travelling from Bangalore next weekend.

We are confused about stays. We don’t want to roam around much. We would love a decent stay to have some space from the city and clear our heads for 3 days.

Can you please suggest good stays, as we might mostly stay in about Rs 4000-5000 max per night.

Also is it safe for us to travel, we don’t want to get policed.

Hi, so my story goes like this - I’m a Kodavathi based out of Bengaluru. My sister is engaged to a man who she absolutely doesn’t like and is being forced to marry because of parental and communal pressure. We have tried multiple things to try and stall the wedding but it is definitely happening.

Considering these circumstances I am trying to not land up in the same place as my sister and trying to find a nice, kind and genuine(the bar is that low) Kodava man to date. I prefer a man who is interested in the same things as me i.e., Women and LGBTQ+ Rights, Indian Politcs (left leaning). I am very athletic, love reading books, and eating great food. If you do not meet the same interests as me and cannot say nice things, please don’t. If you’re interested in getting to know me, dm me here.

I know it is very sad that I am only looking to date within the Kodava community but I’m just trying to make the best of my situation. I have a glimmer of hope that this might work out :)

Bangalore to Coorg Weekend Plan – Need Suggestions

Planning a Coorg trip this weekend. Thinking of leaving Bangalore on Friday night and returning by Saturday night.

Is one full day enough to cover the main places in Coorg without rushing too much, or is it better to stay one night there? Mainly want to visit the best spots and enjoy the trip properly.

Is June ideal for visiting coorg?

Also me and my friends are planning to cover very niche places. Suggest some guys.

4 days and 5 nights is it ideal?

This is our first time travelling 😭

We are 19, and would really love some travel tips from travellers ( especially female travellers).

Please brief about the safety in coorg, the people around and important things to be alert of.

Thank you 🥰😋

I don’t know anyone local here. How to go about this?
The idea is to build a massive coffee plantation with an experiential resort. I want to make this my life project and retire here.
Need local connect and leads to get started

Is visiting coorg viable for late may? 20th onwards. Advisories say that pre monsoon will set in.

I dont want to just stay in the hotel but go out and visit places and enjoy. How're the rains usually at that time, and can I visit?

Hey!

I’m planning a day trip from Mysore to Coorg this Sunday and looking for someone to tag along, mainly because I don’t ride a bike and doing everything solo there gets a bit expensive😭

My plan is to visit Abbey Falls + a coffee plantation during the day.

Maybe add a viewpoint if time allows and head back in the evening or next morning if time allows.

About me: I'm a female living in Bangalore who loves nature, food, travel and coffee😶‍🌫️

We can split costs for local transport so it’s way more manageable than doing it alone.

If someone's interested, feel free to pm or comment!
