job recs?!

I'm unemployed so I'm open to literally anything. Something is better than nothing BUT I do prefer a job making at least $15/hr. I will say I do have my BLS certification (no hospital or caregiver experience)

CNA/PCT pay in Texas?

This is my first step into the field. I'm in Dallas, TX area. Just curious what the average starting pay is for this bc I don't wanna get fucked over, I already hear CNA's are underpaid as is. I definitely don't want to be even more below than I should. Newer to Texas so I'm still trying to get used to the wages

PCT Job in Texas? How to get in?

I want to get my foot in the door being a PCT. Is it better to start as a CNA and then get training for PCT with wherever I'm working at (if they offer)? I'm confused with this whole process. I originally wanted to be an EKG tech but from research, most of the time they just hire PCTs to do EKG's and more. How exactly can I get my foot in this field? I'm also hearing it's hard to get a job if you have no prior experience but some are lucky to start with none. I'm starting to feel a little discouraged :/

EKG TECH - looking for a job?!

What other names do this position go by?
I feel like I can't find any positions near me for the life of me and I'm near Dallas, a major city area. I feel like I'm looking in the wrong places but I also know sometimes a position can go by different names. I'm going for EKG tech not a monitor tech but it's hard..

EKG tech jobs around?

For anyone in healthcare in DFW, I'm looking for an entry level position for an ECG/EKG tech. This is my first step into the field & I have absolutely no clue where to look.. is this position under another name? I feel like the openings are very limited and I'm struggling. Any info helps, thank you

A week long course?

I'm planning on doing an EKG course. There's a vocational school near me with many many amazing reviews and on their website says it's 4 days in person & 3 days online/at home studying. Is this accurate? To my knowledge, I thought it was 4 weeks minimum to get certified. Is that usually NHA-approved programs that are 4-12 weeks? Will I struggle with finding a job with a non-NHA CET certification? I want to get into the field quickly as I am unemployed at the moment and I just want a job, not this as a career (I'm a college student for a healthcare program needing clinical hours)

Note: I am in DFW area btw if you know any information regarding EKG jobs 🥲

Update: the school is NHA-approved apparently

Entry level jobs? PT escort, EKG, or phlebotomist?

I have absolutely no experience in anything healthcare related. I will be starting pre-reqs to get into radiology soon BUT I want to get some clinical experience in the meantime.

I'm not too concerned on pay. I'm unemployed so something is better than nothing. I've been looking for Patient Transport/Escort positions but there's almost no listings, they always lead me to suspicious websites. I heard it's a good entry level job for a student & that's why I wanted to start here. Or maybe EVS?

I'm also willing to go out my way to get certified for EKG certification or phlebotomy if any of you suggest this instead.
Thank you!

Am I behind?

It's May. I'm hoping to start my pre-reqs this fall quarter. I need to re-apply FAFSA for this fall. Do my TSI test & then register for ENGL 1301 & MATH 1314. I've never been in college, am I cutting it too close? I need a realistic answer as I'm very new to registering for college & need someone to kindly point me into the right direction bc I'm not sure how far prior you get all this done. Thank you

Preroll Eggrolls day before event?

I'm not making just any eggrolls. I'm making Philly cheesesteak egg rolls for a party of about 40. All the recipes require I cook the meat prior to rolling so it's not going in raw like your basic eggrolls or lumpia. Will it still be good on the inside next day if I fry them with the meat already cooked? It won't affect the wrappers sitting that long or anything? Sorry I've only made it once but the same day & I want to make sure it goes good for this event

I have no idea where I have HSV-1 I just assume orally. BUT since I'm just guessing, I want to ask..
do most asymptomatic GHSV-1 woman just give birth vaginally safely without it transmitting? Like what is the process for a safe delivery? Do they still prescribe an antiviral before birth (even with no symptoms) to lower the risk even more?

I want to do vaginal births in the future so I'm very curious.

Obviously I will have my partner get a blood test to make sure BUT I'm just coming here out of curiosity....

Long story short, I have found out I have HSV-1, not sure where as I am asymptomatic so I will assume orally. My partner and I have been sexually active for the past 3 years. From the first two years, we had sex a week straight every month (we were very long distance and obviously distance built a lot of tension 😂) and now have been living together for the past year and few months. Very sexually active now since we see eachother way more often (if his job hasn't sent him to another long distance location)

just curious, is there any possibility he'd test negative? or do you doubt it and believe he very likely has HSV? I feel he may had been the one to give it to me but who would know the real answer anyway. I am about to disclose to him once I land back in my home state. Just feels like this should be a in person conversation

I just found out today from a blood test that I have HSV-1 and I have no clue how long I've had it. I've only had 2 partners in the past 5 years but they both have been sexually active with many other women. Where do I go from here? My life has been completely normal & have never had an outbreak or blisters of any sort. I've kissed babies cheeks before and now I'm worried to even put my face anywhere near theirs. I don't know at all where I have HSV-1 but from my understanding it's very likely oral, right?

Can I never kiss a child again? Bc of asymptomatic shedding? Im asking bc I do plan on having many children in the future and now I'm in my head. The other day I believe a bump appeared on my lip after it was tingling for 3 minutes but it disappeared so quickly. I believe my body has adjusted itself to this virus for awhile now and knows how to fight it off but I'm worried about asymptomatic shedding now.

I've only been intimate with one person for the past 3 years and it's likely by now he has it too with the amount of "fun" we do, so do we just continue to do what we have been doing?
(He is also asymptomatic, no other partners besides me for the past year and a half, or at least hope so lol and has no knowledge whatsoever on this. I will disclose to him about us being positive)

I'm very confused at the moment. I'm not diagnosed but am trying to find out if I am in Prodromal phase. Here's a little backstory, I kissed a boy who also went down on me Saturday morning. (He's told me someone accused him of giving her HSV but she has multiple other partners so it's tricky, he also says he has no visible symptoms and feels fine)

It's been 6 days now. My symptoms were veryyyy mild and I'm not sure if it was just stress related and not HSV related. The main one that had me worried was I had mild body aches going around my body but mainly my legs the past two days, and the 'one-sideness' thing about the virus favoring one side more than the other. But today I was perfectly normal.

Since I woke up, has been absolutely no symptoms.. this is where I'm getting confused. Is the mind really that powerful that I can actually feel these "symptoms"? I should be having an outbreak by now right if I was truly going through my first ever OB? I've heard of people saying they'll go the Prodrome phase with no outbreak but not until after they've went through the first horrible OB.. Is this a good sign, that my symptoms just disappeared with no outbreak for what is supposedly supposed to be my first initial OB?

- No itching, burning, NO blisters/leisons. No flu like symptoms. No sore throat. No tingling ANYWHERE.
- My tongue is mildly swollen in the back on the side but it's not bump-like or painful.

Any advice helps. I think I'm going insane but I'm starting to believe just maybe it's nothing.

I've been super stressed out about this. I have mild symptoms like I honestly thought my stress had been causing this since I'm always in my head noticing every little thing my body is doing and now I'm actually getting worried bc the body ache symptoms match up with HSV. But they have been super mild for days and it has not been a super bad Outbreak at all (at least not yet maybe). I'm on day 5 since contact/possible exposure but now I'm starting to think Did I already have HSV prior to this? Did I just trigger it from high stress thinking it was new infection?! Ig I won't know til I get my blood drawn.

If anyone has a similar experience to finding out months or years later that you have this, please share!
- Will update in 2-4 days with results.

I can't tell if I'm experiencing nerve pain or what. I'm feeling like mild aches or something throughout my lower body. Sometimes upper body but it's mainly lower body. Right now this is my only symptom. It is NOT painful at all just keeps coming and going all around from pelvic to foot. Favors my left side more. This all happens for a few seconds every time it comes around. I think I'm gonna lose my mind.

Ik most people feel symptoms or an OB in the 2-14 day window but I currently have no symptoms. I'm currently just in a "herpe scare" right now. Once I hit past the 15 day window with no symptoms, can I go back to my normal sex life? Or is that wrong of me?

Are they like very obvious? I'm not diagnosed but I'm on high alert right now if I'm to get an OB. I'm getting very mild symptoms and I can't tell if it's just from stress and anxiety. Are the early signs very obvious before an outbreak? Bc I can't tell with how light these feelings are and how fast they are just coming and going...

Someone please give me some reassurance or advice.

It's been 3 days of possible exposure. Symptoms have been so mild, they also come and go. In the past 2 days I started to develop a dry throat which led to some cough. Now my throat is barely swollen like it doesn't hurt to swallow at all but it's not how my regular throat feels. I have a slight runny nose every here and there. And I'm sneezing as well every here and there but I don't feel like I've come down with a bad flu or cold or allergies. It's just mild symptoms mind you. Then yesterday I started to notice body aches all throughout my body. Arms, legs, thighs. Mainly my lower body, and more of it on one side than the other. So far that is it. Am I just being hyper-aware? Is it stress causing this? Again, I'm on day 3 now and there hasn't been any ongoing tingling or burning or itching. How was your experience?

Just curious to see if what I have going on matches up with anyone else's experience. All my symptoms are mild and go away but no OB but again it's only been 3 days since contact and I could be overthinking..
