Bahía Principe Ámbar Punta Cana review May 2026
Just got back from Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar and I’d give it a solid 4/5.
The swim-up room absolutely made the trip. Highly recommend asking for one with afternoon sun. We were in the 6400 block and the location was perfect, steps from the pool and beach, which matters because the resort is HUGE. Loved the temperature of both the swim-up pool and main pool, perfect all day.
Room was modern, clean, comfy, and the shower pressure was great. The resort itself was beautiful, really well kept, and the scenery was gorgeous.
Biggest downside was the food. Mostly bland, under seasoned, and often cold unless you got something made fresh. Saturday was randomly the best food day.
The app was useless, and they did a bad job advertising events. The TV would promote shows but not say what day, time, or location, so we randomly found out about things.
For context, I’m Dominican and speak Spanish, so my service experience may not be everyone’s, but staff was really kind to us.
Overall, really special trip since my fiancé proposed there 🥹 If the food and communication were better, easy 5/5.
