I am a student moving in from out of state and looking to start a dental assisting program in Torrance around fall time. I’ve got two schools in mind (Oceanpointe and Socal Roc), but I’ve still got a lot more research to do. I’m trying to understand the requirements for dental assisting in California but I’m getting a bit confused by all of the information from different sources. I’ve also read some people’s posts saying that a program isn’t always necessary as some dental assisting positions don’t require you to have preexisting experience and are willing to train you on the job, has anyone gotten a position like so? Does anybody have any advice or other leading recommendations for dental programs in Torrance? Thank you!
