A Few Ticky Tack Settings Questions

If you see my other post, I just took ownership of an Uncharted. There’s a couple quirks I can’t find the answer for, wondering if any experience Subaru EV owners know.

  1. Voice activation button on the steering wheel, is it possible to swap the settings so that short press is Siri and long press is the Subaru assistant?
  2. Is it not possible to save the regenerative braking setting for my profile? It goes back to minimum every new drive.
  3. When CarPlay is connected, it is possible to have the screen default to it without tapping, instead of the car’s navigation screen?

Thanks!

I Did It!

A dealer in my area finally got a GT trim (wolf gray two-tone) and I test drove it 2 days ago. I told them the out the door price I wanted and we stood $3000 apart. So I walked away. They rightfully assumed they could sell it for sticker… except this morning I got a call back and we were $1000 apart. So I said okay close enough to come back and see if we can close the deal. They gave me a little more on my trade plus the sales tax break got me where I was satisfied. I got a little emotional saying goodbye to my WRX, but I feel good about this.

So excited! I got to try adaptive cruise control on the way home because there was some traffic. Amazing! Can’t wait to try Traffic Jam Assist too!

Okay yesterday you ranted, now you’ve slept, and can think more rationally. What’s your reasoned, objective, critical, or complimentary takes?

Been quite a few takes posted since Thursday and we thought it might be cathartic to have a dedicated space to vent, rant, scream, be angry, cry… whatever emotion, feeling, or thought you need to get out. This is NOT the post to be objective or rational.

This is an ALMOST anything goes thread. Community rules are still in effect regarding insulting, discriminatory, off-topic language. Memes implying suicide or calls for injury of any person are likewise not okay. Otherwise TURN ON YOUR CAPS LOCK AND SOUND OFF!

if you saw a DART bus that was displaying “EMERGENCY CALL 911” on their external route screens, would that make you think the bus is having an emergency and needs someone to call 911? or that it’s just general messaging for some reason.

update: I called DART police and he said the newer buses have this button in an easily triggered location but they’d follow up with the bus to be sure.
