SSC CGL Beginner Here -Completely Confused About Preparation. Need Simple Roadmap 🙏

Hi everyone

I am new to SSC preparation and a bit confused about how everything works. I searched my queries on Reddit but still couldn’t get clear answers so I’m asking here

Also, I would really like some basic guidance on (☞^o^) ☞

* Can a student apply for SSC exams in the final year of graduation ( in DU) or is it mandatory to wait until the degree is fully completed and results are declared ?

* What are the different SSC exams for graduates (like CGL, CHSL, JE, etc.) and which ones should I focus on for higher salary / better job?

* When do these exams usually happen in a year (rough timeline) both tier 1 and tier 2?

* For SSC CGL what kind of score or preparation level is considered safe for a good post?

I am from a non maths background and a complete beginner so which teachers or YouTube channels are best for starting from zero (especially Maths )?

Any simple roadmap or strategy for a beginner would really help me a lot.

If possible I would also appreciate if someone could guide me a bit on Telegram as I still have many small doubts and feel stuck at the starting stage ( dm me if you are free to help)

Thank you so much for your time and help 🙏

(94/87/ )

I took a 2 year gap for NEET and it looks like MBBS probably won’t happen now. Honestly I grinded my ass off for this exam for years and now feel pretty lost about what to do next.

I’m honestly very low on confidence right now. Things at home aren’t going well and my parents aren’t really talking to me 😭. I really want to clear CAT in my first attempt just to reduce the stress they’re going through.

Planning to do BSc Botany from DU and thinking about preparing for CAT alongside college. I’m very bad at maths (85% in 10th maths and out of touch now for 4 years because of PCB). Whenever I read about CAT toppers and Tier 1 colleges, it feels like most people are engineers with strong aptitude backgrounds so I’m wondering if getting into a Tier 1 MBA college is realistically possible for someone like me.

Another concern is that I don’t really have any extracurricular activities, achievements, or strong “CV building” things right now. I’ve mostly just focused on academics till now ( in that also i failed 😭 )so my profile feels very basic and empty compared to what I see online.

I’m confident I can put in the hours. My NEET prep helped me build a routine of studying 8 to 10 focused hours daily. So discipline isn’t really my concern. I just want an honest opinion on whether my background is going to be a major disadvantage in CAT.

Wanted honest advice:

* Can a PCB student realistically crack CAT?

* How difficult is the maths actually for someone restarting from basics?

* What percentile is needed for decent tier 2 MBA colleges?

* What kind of salary is realistic from tier 2 colleges?

* Is this a practical path or should I prepare for

SSC - cgl?

* Any success stories from biology/ non maths background students would really motivate me.

Would appreciate genuine advice from people who switched paths after NEET or from PCB backgrounds.

I’m a 20 year old two time NEET dropper and I will pursue a Bsc while preparing for government exams alongside college.

I scored just 85% in 10th-grade standard maths so my basics are weak now. I also can't do mental maths I need proper pen and paper to solve things .With the new sectional timing in SSC exams, is it still possible to crack SSC through consistent hard work over the next 2-3 years?

One thing I do know about myself is that I can work hard for long periods. During NEET prep I was able to study for 10 hours straight consistently, so discipline and sitting capacity are not a problem for me.

Given my situation, which government exams would be realistic to prepare for alongside a Bsc if not ssc ?

And for people who cleared SSC with weak aptitude initially how difficult was the journey ???

If I take the metro get off at my stop but instead of checking out right away I just sit on the platform bench for about 2 hours would that be okay? Is there any issue with just staying on the platform and not checking out until later?
