New to SSC – Need tips to get a job ASAP for financial independence!

I’m totally new to the SSC house. Currently a BA student and preparing for Civils too (just finished my Polity pre-fc classes), but now I’ve decided to secure a job first

Cause success rate in upsc is like a null can't rely upon that totally

Honestly, being a girl from a village, there's always that "shadi ka pressure" if you aren't independent. So I want to get a secure job first for survival and then follow my UPSC passion later.

B need a secure job firsttt no matter how much the hard work it's demands!!*

Thank you in advance 🫶

Good luck to you all🌻

SSC CGL Beginner Here -Completely Confused About Preparation. Need Simple Roadmap 🙏

Hi everyone

I am new to SSC preparation and a bit confused about how everything works. I searched my queries on Reddit but still couldn’t get clear answers so I’m asking here

Also, I would really like some basic guidance on (☞^o^) ☞

* Can a student apply for SSC exams in the final year of graduation ( in DU) or is it mandatory to wait until the degree is fully completed and results are declared ?

* What are the different SSC exams for graduates (like CGL, CHSL, JE, etc.) and which ones should I focus on for higher salary / better job?

* When do these exams usually happen in a year (rough timeline) both tier 1 and tier 2?

* For SSC CGL what kind of score or preparation level is considered safe for a good post?

I am from a non maths background and a complete beginner so which teachers or YouTube channels are best for starting from zero (especially Maths )?

Any simple roadmap or strategy for a beginner would really help me a lot.

If possible I would also appreciate if someone could guide me a bit on Telegram as I still have many small doubts and feel stuck at the starting stage ( dm me if you are free to help)

Thank you so much for your time and help 🙏

Seeking Advice On Parmar Sir's Material

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to dive into Parmar Sir’s content but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the options. Does anyone have a roadmap or advice on which batch is best to join right now?

If you’ve used his material before, could you let me know:

Which batch is the most comprehensive for a beginner?

How and where should I actually start?

If you have any notes or lectures you’re willing to share, I’d be super grateful! Pleaseeeee

Good luck with your prep, and thank you in advance! ✌️

Thinking of SSC CGL 2027 how tough is it and how should I start?

I recently started thinking about preparing for SSC CGL 2027. I wanted to know how tough the exam actually is for someone starting from scratch and whether starting now is a good idea. Also, where should a beginner start preparation from like books, course, teaches etc? Any advice regarding subjects, study plan, coaching/self-study, or common mistakes to avoid would really help. Would appreciate guidance from people who are preparing or have already cleared the exam.

Today mock felt a bit more satisfactory as for the first time GA questions felt kinda familiar.

I still need to work on Modern History, economics and static GK in GA to boost my score.

Quant I still have to work on the speed and revise concepts and formulas again.

Reasoning tho I did think that I got everything right but yeah one was a stupid mistake and one was out of my league.

English I need to complete homonyms and revise grammar as I felt a bit rusty. Well that's it for today's mock analysis ig.

Doubts Regarding SSC CGL Preparation & Difficulty

Hello everyone, I recently learned about SSC CGL and I’m confused about its difficulty level. Some people say it can be cracked in 6–8 months, while others say even 3–4 years aren’t enough. Is SSC CGL really that difficult?

I’m currently a B.Sc 1st-year student, soon entering 2nd year. My maths and calculation speed are very weak, but I want to prepare for SSC CGL for my dream post, ASO CSS, and crack it on my first attempt. I’m ready to work hard, but these doubts are scaring me 😭 Please guide me.

Study material, methods and suggestions will be shared regularly, strategies discussed. DM Why you think you should be a part of this group and how and what you contribute? Members will be selected after thorough assessment.

Marks are not increasing .

I recently started preparing for SSC CGL. To understand my current level, I gave my first full-length prelims mock test without any preparation, just to see where I stood, and I scored 86.5 marks.

Since then, I have attempted around 19 previous-year mock tests, but my score is still fluctuating between 84–95 marks. The surprising part is that now I have done at least some preparation, yet my marks are not improving significantly.

At that time, I had not prepared General Knowledge and General Studies at all, and even now I am mainly attempting the paper based on my Reasoning, Mathematics, and English skills. Despite that, my score seems stuck.

I want to understand why my marks are not increasing and what I should do to improve my score further.

I can't believe I made such stupid mistakes in english. My confidence has hit it's lowest point.Looks like I have to clean the rust and giddy up my English prep!

Content with scores of math and reasoning even tho I did make few silly mistakes in them too.

G.A yet again the same problem 🫠🫠. But I guess I can pull off something by the time I complete the syllabus.

Yesterday my college has officially ended with the final project submission and review completed. After a bus back home last night and taking some rest till noon, decided to give one final mock before I start my prep.

Analysis:

Reasoning I think i did great other than a single mistake I did in hurry. But with Quant and English I think I went a bit over confident! Especially with how I breezed past english committing those silly mistakes in grammar, without even bothering to double check . Well atleast with practice and revison I am sure I can do better.

What's Concerning me is my low scores and lack of direction towards prep in GA. Like I am not even sure what to do kinda. Especially since it will be the game changer in CGL if sectional timing is introduced in tier 1.

Conclusion:

Would appreciate a lot if someone can guide me through GA, just suggesting some good sources to study and YouTube channels to learn would work out too ig.

I activated a ₹1 two-day trial subscription of Testbook on 04 May 2026 at approximately 12:53 PM through UPI AutoPay.

As per the advertised 2-day trial, the subscription was expected to remain active until approximately 06 May 2026 around 12:53 PM.

However, Razorpay/Testbook payment records showed the renewal transaction being initiated on 05 May 2026 at around 01:09 AM, which is approximately 36 hours before the expected end of the trial period. Later, the actual ₹599 amount was debited from my SBI account on 06 May 2026 at around 02:10 AM through UPI AutoPay.

Additionally, even after the deduction, the Testbook app still displayed “1 day left” in the trial/subscription section, which created confusion regarding the actual expiry and renewal timing.

I contacted Testbook support multiple times, but only automated responses were provided and no proper clarification or resolution was given.

Mock

Was sick and resting , so gave the mock a bit late today.

There isn't much for analysis today as I felt this paper is definitely on the easier side, especially reasoning felt pretty basic. Maths was decent and english the same.

GA I reached a new low 🫠🫠. It's just kinda tiring NGL! I am struggling with sleep and lack of appetite due to the underlying stress. I think i will just isolate myself for a couple of days to week atmost as I can't afford to slack off beyond that and will start the prep with theory consumption instead of mocks and pyqs first. Well yess that's it for today's rant 🥀🥀.

Requirements:

	● Should be a beginner or have just started the Kamal Chhabra Reasoning course

● Committed to watching and practicing exactly 2 video lectures per day (including solving the PDF questions from each lecture), with remaining time dedicated to revision

● Must be consistent and serious about cracking the exam

What we'll do for each other:

● If one of us is slacking or wasting time, the other will step in and push them to get back on track — and I expect the same from you. The goal is to hold each other accountable and crack this exam together.

                         Serious candidate only.

No offense to anyone — if you're not interested, no need to respond. Only DM me if you're genuinely committed.

Cracking the CGL while being extremely lazy 🥲

Hlw all aspirants, i want to know a brief guide how to schedule my study. I have a 9 hours job at reliance retail, after which I come extremely tired at home. My shift is from 1-10pm. I come home , play some games , have my dinner and sleep. Next day, same routine. How to arrange my study hours in this? Also I have only 1 day off.

Finally got my hands on this after over a month of hunting 😻😻. Somehow they were always out of stock whenever I visited the shop 🤡🤡. It was kinda hard studying from that scanner version 🫠🫠.
