Sunscreens that actually dry down, but still look somewhat dewy or at least satin finish?

Ive tried a few sunscreens lately which have looked good on my skin but stayed wet/tacky and in turn made my hair greasy. I dont even want to imagine what my makeup would have looked like if I put any on!!

Does one exist which doesnt dry completely flat and matte, but at least feels dry or mostly dry soon after applying? I kind of want a mostly or only mineral sunscreen at the moment. Thanks!

I'm in love with my May Lindstrom products (at least so far)

I bought the "chocolate box" to test out the items, plus Nordstrom had (and maybe still has??) a good GWP for a 5ml size of the youth dew, so it seemed like a perfect time to try it out. I was actually planning on returning it because I thought eh, impulse buy, I should get something else, but when I tell you that since I started using it two nights ago, my skin has not looked better in years??? I have near constant flaking on my forehead and temples, which is GONE. I have almost daily mini breakouts on my nose (I would always get tiny red pimples on the tip of my nose with 90% of products I've used, active or not), GONE. Honestly, these issues have been the main ones bothering me (although I have pretty bad sun damage under my eyes and coming through on my forehead now too... Which I will address soon maybe), so I am SO happy. I have yet to try the honey mud and the problem solver, but I've used everything else in the kit. I'm hoping the problem solver actually helps with the sun damage but I'm thinking I probably need to give in and splurge on an actual vitamin C and hope that it doesn't give me zits on my nose.

Anyways, I just wanted to share, mostly because a lot of people see this brand as just an "experience" skincare line rather than actual results, but I see results! Again it's been only two days but by now any breakouts would have popped up for me, and the fact that my skin already looks great is really promising, yay.

Sunscreen to apply over oil? I hear oil breaks down sunscreens, but does it break them ALL down?

I found a face oil that I like, which I plan to use during the day and will need to wear sunscreen still. I hear though that sunscreens and oils don't mesh well... But does anyone know if that just goes for chemical sunscreens? Or also mineral? I was thinking to buy one of the Marie Veronique sunscreens as the line has a lot of oil based products and surely they wouldnt sell a sunscreen that would break down from the oils... But I dont know. For reference the oil I'm talking about is the May Lindstrom Youth Dew!

Your favorite skincare products (specifically peels/treatments, serums, moisturizers) that can be found at Nordstrom?

Hi all! A bit of a specific question here, but I am going to a Nordstrom beauty event tomorrow which will be free breakfast, a fashion show (I think?) a beauty "show", and lots of brand reps and GWPs, plus a goodie bag full of samples! Id like to purchase some stuff there (if its recommended) but if you feel I should buy elsewhere then please be honest!

I need some new skincare, I'm a bit stuck on what to try next. I will admit that I have tried some natural products by Evanhealy, played around with Eminence, tried some high end Japanese brands, but none really helped... Aka I had minor breakouts or was left with flaky dry skin on my forehead and temples. The chanel la solution 10 and hydra beauty micro serum have been nice and actually keep me mostly moisturized and looking fresh with minimal flakes, but I need something more/different, plus the solution 10 is now a bit heavy on my skin since the weather changed. I havent tried actives in ages but need to since my skin has changed a lot and needs more love.

I am 36, I have combo skin (in the summer my nose and chin are oily, while the rest of my face is normal, and in the winter my nose is normal while the rest of my face is dry and often flakes easily). I have very obvious sun damage under my eyes/tops of my cheeks, and I can see some on my forehead now as well. My main concerns to address are my sun damage and dryness, but please note my nose breaks out very easily from almost everything so I either need a specific item just for my nose OR I probably shouldnt apply anything there at all! My skin is very thin and delicate on my nose so I think that's my issue.

I CANNOT use niacinamide, retinol, tretinoin or salicylic acid (I think I might be ok with a small amount of salicylic but nothing too strong).

I have looked into Hydropeptide, my Nordstrom has that available and it generally has good reviews. Ive also been curious about trying some Clarins products (double serum and the super restorative cream). Outside of Nordstrom I've eyed down some Medik8 items (sleep glycolic, ceramide serum and cream, vitamin c). What do you all think? Anything you love which fits what I need and can be bought at Nordstrom? Or should I get my stuff elsewhere?

Breakdown of what I need (well, what I think I need)

  • overnight peel/exfoliating treatment
  • vitamin c serum
  • daytime cream which isnt too heavy, probably not a gel because that's not enough, but a nice lighter cream
  • nighttime cream which is nourishing

THANK YOU!

I see people in here talking about how items fit bigger than their size should fit, but then AE's size chart tells me I should be wearing a size large when normally in other stores I'd be a medium. That being said, I am pregnant, so naturally if I'm not getting maternity specific clothing, I have been just sizing up one size in most regular clothing that has some stretch.

There's a few dresses I want to buy to try out that I might wear to my baby shower, they are from the AE77 line and have no reviews or a couple unhelpful reviews. I know that in stretchy workout style clothes, I am good with a large on bottom and a medium or large on top at the moment, depending on style of course, but now I'm stuck on what size to try for these dresses. My bust for SURE is still a medium, a large would def be too big, but then will the waist/hip be okay in the medium too? Ideally I dont want to buy two sizes of multiple dresses but I guess if I have to...

I understand I'm probably one of the older ones in this sub (36), however I guess I shouldn't assume but it does feel that Aerie and AE in general are geared more towards the college and high school crowd (not a bad thing of course!), so I've generally avoided it as I thought that I "aged out" of the store. Anyways, I'm pregnant and saw an influencer post about an outfit they found at Aerie and I decided to go check it out, which was odd for me since I rarely check out stuff that influencers suggest, but... Wow I'm SOOO GLAD I went in store to look around!!

First of all, I fell in love with multiple things. I bought 3 of the convertible maxi dress from the Offline side, as well as several pullovers from the Aerie side. Also grabbed some cute modal items. I noticed several items in store that I liked, but were too short on me, but HOORAY!! ONLINE HAS TALL! I am 5'10, so I need the length.

My order just arrived - I got two pairs of the xtra high waisted trouser, two pairs of the foldover super wide leg pant, and a few items from the AE77 collection (which I realize is not Aerie but still wanted to mention). I'm seriously so impressed, I'm keeping all four pairs of pants. They are a) long enough, b) will 100% fit me until I give birth AND afterwards, c) were not that expensive ($33 and $41 each, depending on style), and d) are really flattering!!! The AE77 stuff was expensive but the quality is there, I am going to keep the three pieces I got as I needed new denim jackets and a nice quality zip hoodie.

I already am building another cart (well, two... one for Aerie to get 30% off and one with AE to get 15% off since the AE77 collection doesnt count to get the 30% off that I received today). I do have a couple items I got though that I am returning, which is a regular AE branded denim jacket, and the Aerie pique henley short sleeve (I like this top but its just a touch too cropped and fitted on my belly, I might try the large in store to see if it fits better, then I may keep). I'm also returning and re-buying the poolside terry henley sweatshirt because I paid full price 3 days ago but now I can get it for 30% off.

Sorry this was long, I just wanted to share my thoughts and feelings. I feel really good today. I've been feeling gross and annoyed because clothing hasnt been fitting well, and maternity clothing is often SO ugly or super expensive for the cuter stuff.

Hi all, I'm going to be placing an order from Credo during their 20% off sale and as of right now, I have the following items in my cart:

  • Marie Veronique balancing hypotonic, pure + eo free oil cleanser, all day age delay emulsion, protective day oil, barrier restore serum

  • Josh Rosebrook C complex vitamin c serum, advanced hydration mask (and there is a GWP of a hydration accelerator)

  • Doctor Rogers bakuchiol + glycolic night repair treatment

I am 36 years old, 30 weeks pregnant, have combination skin (right now with the seasons turning, being mid spring, my skin is pretty "normal" but will get an oily t zone in the summer). I am currently only using a Chanel cleanser, hydration serum and la solution 10 cream, I have a lush face scrub and cleansing balm, plus I apply sunscreen, current brands are Decorte and Pola (Japanese brands).

All these products are working fine, I suppose... Although I do notice flakes on my forehead, and congestion in my chin/upper lip which I notice more if I wear a foundation or tint. I also have some pretty bad sun damage under my eyes. I stopped using many actives because I felt frustrated with not finding one that actually did something, or it caused me to breakout into tiny red zits on my forehead and cheeks.

I CANNOT use the following ingredients:

  • Niacinamide (I breakout with tiny zits every single time)
  • Yeast (same as above, I breakout with tiny zits)

I also find that some ferments don't work for me but right now i'm not exactly sure which ones they are, I do know that SKII and Tatcha products also make me breakout so whatever is in those, I cannot use.

Anyways, what do you all think about the items on my wishlist? I'm bored with my skincare routine and know I can make it better, I am kind of restricted though with being pregnant and also because SO many products contain niacinamide and I cant use it! I am also open to any other suggestions.
