I tested positive for pregnancy yesterday, 3 years to the day after my first HG pregnancy. I’m feeling super anxious and scared but also excited to have another baby. The main thing I’m worried about is how much of my 3 years olds life I’m assuming I’m going to miss in the next few months once the sickness inevitably hits.

Wondering if anyone has tried this and found it worked? I don’t care what the price is I’ll pay for any little gadget that I think may help, I’m so desperate to not miss out on this time in my toddlers life. Also wondering a little any other suggestions anyone has?

Trigger warning: LC

Hey guys, I’m making a standalone post but if you think this should be in the daily chat then just let me know. I’m feeling really freaked out after making this discovery.

Im RH negative, and after having my son 3 years ago I was told he was also RH negative and I wouldn’t need Rhogam post partum. I did have it during pregnancy as the routine dose. Fast forward to now 3 years later my hospital only just got “my chart”. I was looking through his files this weekend just because and I noticed it listed his blood type as A positive which is also his dad’s blood type. Cue slight concern.

So today I called the health records department to see if it could have possibly been entered in my chart wrong, they said no that’s pulled directly from the lab so it’s unlikely. They suggested I put in a records request to double check but that my 3 year old will likely need a blood draw. If he is actually positive it could be very dangerous for any subsequent pregnancy of a RH positive baby so im very worried and not really sure what to do from here.

The one positive thing is that i had a group and screen this past January and the antibody screen was negative on that which gives me some hope that maybe i have noting to worry about.

Has this happened to anyone else? Will it affect our ability to continue ttc if i am allo immunized? Is it possible to treat or maybe do IVF for a rh negative baby if worst came to worst? Sorry for all the questions my head is spinning. I’m a nurse on the unit I delivered on and I’ve never heard of this happening to anyone before.
