Platoon (1986) A new recruit in Vietnam, finds himself caught in a battle of wills between two sergeants, one good and the other evil. A excellent examination of the brutality of war and the duality of man in conflict. Amazing film with excellent performances.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) Freddy Kruger a dead child killer haunts and murders teenagers in their dreams, as revenge against their parents who burned him alive.

Predator (1987) Awesome Arnold action flick ,great action, great quotes and great cast. The story follows a team of commandos on a mission in a Central American jungle find themselves hunted by an extraterrestrial warrior.

First Blood (1982) A Vietnam veteran and drifter John J. Rambo goes into a small Washington town in search of an old friend, but is met with intolerance and brutality by the local sheriff and all hell breaks loose!!! Sylvester Stallone, Brian Dennehy, and Richard Crenna give excellent performances.

Inglourious Basterds (2009) IMO this movie is amazing, has that old school feel to it like The Dirty Dozen. In Nazi-occupied France a plan to assassinate Nazi leaders by a group of U.S. soldiers known as The Inglourious Bastards coincides with a theatre owner's vengeful plans for the same.
