Protective Daddy

I was giving this family space, but that didn’t stop the goose daddy from telling me to not come any closer. Luckily he charged at another goose and not me 😂.

The Warning I Give To My Friends…

I have a reputation for putting on getup for sporting events and my friends almost always jokingly make insulting comments.

So now each time before sending them a picture of my latest getup, I send them a meme from the caterer in The Golden Girls.

Seen In Calgary

As I was walking to work this morning in Calgary, I looked up and saw this Crosby jersey in a window of an office building.

It’s great to see the love for Crosby and the Penguins in Calgary!

My Barbie Inspired Getup

I am a Toronto Blue Jays superfan who lives in Calgary. I always wear getup when I watch games in public.

Today’s getup is inspired by the Blue Jays transforming their stadium into Barbie’s dreamland for the game, which I’m watching from my favourite restaurant.

Hello Goose

There’s a lone goose in Calgary’s Central Memorial Park, I presume he’s protecting a nest somewhere as I’ve constantly seen him for the past 2 weeks. He’s hissed at me once.

Almost everyday I stop by the park to see him. I usually squat about 6 feet away from him to observe and take photos/videos. A couple times he’s approached me and I’ve ran out of fear he might peck me.

Yesterday I decided to see what would happen if I let him get close to me. I think he was curious if I had food. As we all know, geese can be quite territorial & moody, so I’m glad he’s comfortable around me.

I was observing this goose yesterday as it was relaxing in Calgary’s Central Memorial Park, it heard sirens and got curious.

I live in Calgary and for the past week, there’s been a territorial goose living on my street. I’ve named him Gus and I’ve become obsessed with him. He’s been primarily hanging out outside of 1 particular apartment building. When I wake up he’s often surveilling from the building’s roof. A few times a day he crosses the street and loafs on the sidewalk.

He’s clearly guarding a nest that I can’t see. I admire Gus’ restraint, he’s hissed and chased people (including me) without being overly aggressive.

I hope you enjoy the closeup photos I got of him this morning.

I saw this post on Threads last night.

I don’t know much about Johnny Pemberton, but good for him for leaving the industry to start a career as a lawyer.

It’s really hard for actors to leave the industry, especially after having a period of success. Some actors have sustained success, others don’t. I believe being in the industry can be addicting.

I think a lot of people know that sometimes things we love aren’t meant to last forever and it’s important to know when you should on. I think a lot of actors don’t know when to move on. I also think there’s an element of feeling like you failed or all your dreams didn’t come true.
