I’m about to start taking 10 Mg of Prozac for my anxiety and depression and I’m really nervous. I’ve felt emotionally numb the past week or so and am paranoid that I have anhedonia. Is emotional numbness and anhedonia just a symptom of depression? And is it temporary

I hope that Prozac will help but I’m just afraid what is going on is permanent

I’m about to genuinely laugh if I think something Is funny and I usually cry everyday over this, but that’s the only emotions I really have. I don’t get excited or feel happy and I feel like I’m unable to feel love. I’m really worried this is permanent and it’s scaring me, my parents say it’s just my depression but I’m afraid it’s something that’s isn’t going to go away anytime soon. I’ve read so many post on Reddit about people saying they have permanent emotional numbness and anhedonia.
