Title: Good place in the Chicago suburbs to buy used office furniture in solid condition?

I’m setting up a small office and trying to find good used office furniture that’s actually in decent condition.

Main things I’m looking for are ergonomic chairs, a few desks, maybe some filing/storage, and possibly a small conference table. I’d love to find something commercial-grade instead of buying random cheap stuff online. Ideally brands like Steelcase, Herman Miller, Haworth, HON, etc.

Has anyone here had a good experience buying used or refurbished office furniture around the Chicago suburbs? I’m especially interested in places where I can see the furniture in person, check the condition, and maybe sit in a few chairs before buying.

Open to driving a bit if the selection is worth it. Would appreciate any recommendations for reputable used office furniture stores, liquidators, or warehouses in the area.

How do you know when someone is genuinely interested in getting to know you versus just being friendly?

I’ve been talking to someone almost every day for the past few weeks. We send each other random updates, joke around a lot, and they usually reply pretty fast. Recently, they started remembering small details I mentioned before and checking in when I seemed stressed.

The thing is, they act naturally friendly with everyone, so now I’m confused whether this is just their personality or if there could actually be something more there. How do you usually tell the difference without making things awkward?
