In my second year of college and I’ve gotten high or drunk every single day of this semester, not even partying, just alone in my room. I feel like I can’t be with my own thoughts and I need vices to drown out all the negative feelings and thoughts. It’s making me dumb but what other option do I have? I have hobbies and all but you can’t just do your hobbies alone forever, I so deeply crave connection, and weed and alcohol provide the same feelings I get from when I was around people. The added layer of grief from losing a friend to suicide last semester does not help either.
