Unsure how to help my plant stop drooping and yellowing

Unsure how to help my plant stop drooping and yellowing

Please be kind as I’m a new plant parent.

This little guy was water propped a while ago and potted in this strawberry pot with drainage. It was very happy in there until I recently tried to pot up a size. Even though the new pot was only about an inch bigger than this one, the plant seemed to be suffering from the change. I think the problem was soil that got too compacted so it was overly moist for about a week.

At that point I took the plant out, inspected the roots, which fortunately weren’t rotted, and put it back in its original pot with fresh dry soil. I did a very slight water to settle the soil, and hoped that would help the little guy. But he still isn’t doing great.

I’ve never seen him this pale, and leaves keep yellowing. Do I just let him adjust or is there some way I can intervene?

Soil is a mix of orchid potting soil (I’m broke and it’s what I have on hand) and I added some perlite hoping it would dry out a bit better.

What causes this to happen? Before a few weeks ago the yellow part was green. Is my plant dying? How can I help her?

Aerial root snapped as I was trying to pull it out of the soil, so hopefully it will be okay! I’m not sure if it needs to be submerged or not, how high the water should be, etc. Would love some guidance

I’m new at plants and this is my first Begonia. When given to me, she was in a vase with just water and her root ball was pretty much bogmuck. I cleaned it up a little and potted her in soil. She seems to be hanging in there but I’m concerned about the white residue she came with and just her overall health. Is it some kind of mold or just the result of hard water? Is it normal for new growth to be as pale as it is with her? And what are the brown bumps on the bigger leaf?

Right now she lives in an east facing room indoors, about 10 feet from a window with sheer curtains .
