Hi everyone, I’m facing a tough dilemma with my house and would love some expert opinions.

​The house has a serious humidity problem affecting both walls and ceilings. There are active leaks, and every time it rains, water gets into the kitchen through the roof.

​I have two options:

​Invest and expand: Waterproof the entire house, fix the walls, and start building a second floor (flat roof/platabanda) to help protect the lower structure from direct rain and humidity.

​Sell as-is: Cut my losses and look for a new place in a different location.

My main concern is whether building on top will actually help "seal" the house and reduce the humidity long-term, or if I’m just throwing good money after bad.

​Is it worth the investment to renovate and build up, or is severe humidity a sign that I should just move on? Thanks in advance for your advice
