Sleep disruption getting very bad

Hi all I recently (two weeks ago) upped my dosage to 60mg and the first week went fine however the last 5 days my sleep has been so bad!!

I’m used to getting a full 8 hrs sleep, have a great bed routine, can fall asleep instantly etc.

Last night I slept around 4 hrs and that’s the worst it’s ever been and I can’t function or regulate! I went to bed at 11pm woke up at 2am rolled around and peed ALOT of times until 5.30am and alarm went off at 7am when I just knocked out for a little bit again.

I’m also very up and down with my periods so unsure whether that also plays a factor, but has anyone else experienced this? I have an appointment with my GP on Friday morning regarding both periods and insomnia but just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced the same or similar and if anything helped?

Efficient motorway driving tips?

Hi all started my new job today and will be on the road quite often around 1/1 1/2 hrs drive there and back and I was wondering if anyone had any efficiency tips?

I have a 24 plate Golf R line fuel type is hybrid electric and I’m finding sometimes on long drives when I’m driving around 60-65 on D eco it adds a lot of mileage onto the fuel, however when I’m doing the same drive back at the same speed it goes down significantly.

My drive to work is around 60 miles however, when I started driving in the morning it was around 110 and by the time I returned home it was at 15?!

I have never put it in sports mode and always keep it at D, don’t really speed - most I go is around 75 sometimes at max. Just thought I’d see if there is any tips anyone can share or if there is something else I could be doing.

Panting cat - heart scan

Hi all my cat male around 9 months old recently while playing has started panting (only lasts around 6-7 seconds) and it has happened 2-3 times in the last couple of weeks only but he’s also been getting tired after 5 mins of play and lying down.

Unsure whether it’s just exhaustion as he is still a kitten however I didn’t want to risk it so I took him to the vets this morning and she said although his heart sounds normal it doesn’t always cancel out any conditions or problems and its best to get a scan.

It’s going to be around £1,255 so I called my insurance to see if my policy covers as I am on premium but the lady on the phone was abit rude and sounded like she didn’t want to be there said I can put the claim through as my insurance covers up to £2k in conditions and injuries however there’s no guarantee so I’d have to pay then put the claim through and hope they approve.

Why I need advice in this is because I got dismissed from my job in January (ongoing tribunal) I’ve managed to get a job which I start end of May and due to my financial situation I don’t have that many in savings as bills and mortgage has been eating through it.

It’ll take me a while to save up that much but I also don’t want him to get worse IF he has something wrong.

Shall I risk it and go through the claim hoping it goes through or wait but risk him potentially getting worse?

Appreciate any advice, he’s been my absolute rock and bestfriend throughout the hardest few months and we are due to move into my newly renovated flat in summer and this has made me quite upset as he’s my everything

Hi,

I’m moving into my new flat soon and made the huge mistake of not taking off my skirting boards before skimming and now I am looking for alternative options please!!

I have looked at skirting covers but they’re soooo expensive it would cost me £300 just for two rooms so that’s a no go.

I can look to apply moulding/beading on the top part however I did rip some parts of the skirting off so some walls have skirting and some don’t.

Any alternatives anyone can recommend please? Or hacks? Also to help the thickness is around 19mm and the length is around 60mm so it’s very thick and very small.

I’ve attached pictures - sorry they’re not great I haven’t been to the flat in a while so haven’t taken any direct pictures of the board

Hi all!

I’m f 32 only recently diagnosed in March.

I started off on 30mg for 7 days and then 50 mg for 4 weeks. I only really had a dopamine hit on the first day and felt very energetic, wanting to talk to everyone make plans etc.

On the second day I came in my period and I did check online and see it can really decrease the effects which I did feel. However I’ve now had my review and expressed all of this and I’m now on 60mg from today for 4 weeks and then 70mg for another 4 weeks however even on 60mg today I’ve not felt much difference.

The only side effects I’ve really had is a dry mouth and 0 appetite.

I take the meds at around 8am just with water and don’t really have much for breakfast maybe some cereal at around midday/1pm and then take my supplements which is vitamin D and biotin.

Please can I get some advice on what I’m doing wrong or anything new I can try. For abit of background context too I was unfairly dismissed from work in January so I have also been under immense stress, so in terms of focusing at work etc I wa snot able to give them much as I have been stuck at home due to financial strain. But I have got a new job which I start in two weeks so maybe it’ll improve slightly

Hi all,

I wrote on here around end of Jan regarding my unfair dismissal and did get some good advice at the time and support!

I have since spoken with Acas and gone through early conciliation as advised however the former company (they’re a huge corporate company) did not entertain it at all so I have now been given a certificate for tribunal.

I’ve completed the et1 form but I know from other people’s experience a lot of big companies tend to bully people into dropping the claim - I just thought I’d ask is this normally the case? Is their tactic to scare me and drop my claim? Any other advice from now until when I receive their response et3 - I have so far gathered all of my evidence minutes, statements, outcome letter etc.
