My oldest has been in this new school for a couple of months, we’re in Florida, and he just told me that the school doesn’t have a library. I’m mad.

Especially a high school not having a library, it’s just so crazy to me. Florida schools had to audit every single one of their books, some schools don’t have budgets for librarians but they still have a library. And I know that this school used to have a library, so it must have been triggered by the audit… idk, I’ve seen smaller schools receive grants to create libraries, so this is so weird!

I think that it’s worth mentioning that our district has been under investigations for “losing money”, and I’ve been told that they have enough money for the things they say that they don’t.

What schools do you know of who don’t have a library?

I just found out that Westside High does not, and I’m big mad.
