Finally found an app that handles actual lifting percentages and plate math properly.

First of all, I would like to point out this is not my app. Don't ban me, I'm just trying to help.
I’ve gone through every tracker on the App Store (Strong, Hevy, Liftoff etc.), and they all feel like they’re built for beginners and are pretty basic. If you’re actually following a program like 5/3/1 or doing heavy compound blocks, it seems most apps fail at the small stuff, like calculating plate math or tracking recovery metrics across different muscle heads.

I switched to a different app a while back because it actually visualizes your volume load with a 3D heatmap and gives unique insights that make your progress that much better. It’s been huge for making sure I’m not overworking my stabilizers on heavy days etc..

If you’re tired of using a spreadsheet or a basic log, check out Lyfta. I was happy enough with it to buy premium and I found a founder’s code Strong30 that gave me a 30% discount since I was keen on the deeper analytics, but the free tracking is already better than others.

Finally found perfect strength app that *syncs with strava*!

I love Strava for my runs and rides, but my feed always looked empty when I was in the gym. I've tried a few trackers, but most of them don't play nice with the Strava API.

I finally switched to Lyfta and it’s a game-changer. It syncs your lifting sessions directly to your Strava feed so your followers can see your volume and PRs. Plus, it gives you a 3D muscle heatmap and volume charts that Strava doesn't offer. It basically turns your Strava into a complete 360 fitness log.

If you actually care about your strength and want the deep-dive strength analytics, don't pay the full subscription price on the app store. I found a few codes that still work for a massive discount (making it $2 a month):

  • TRAIN30 (Best for 30% off)
  • TRANSFORM
  • LYFTAFAST

Just enter them at the bottom of the subscription page. If you're a data nerd on Strava, this is the missing piece of the puzzle. Does anyone else here sync their gym work?

I’ve tested every Workout App: Hevy, Strong, and FitNotes - Lyfta is the 2026 winner. (Full Breakdown + Discount)

I’ve spent the last year hopping between every major tracker. Most of them are starting to feel like social media apps (looking at you, Hevy) or haven't been updated since 2020.

I finally settled on Lyfta and it’s a tier above for three reasons:

  1. The Heatmap: It’s not just a gimmick; seeing exactly which muscle heads are lagging based on your actual volume is a game changer for programming.
  2. Clean UI: Zero bloat. It opens straight to the logger.
  3. The Data: The 1RM projections and volume charts are actually accurate.

The Hookup: I know a lot of people in here are looking for a new home for their data. I found a few promo codes that work for a massive discount on the Pro version. Don't pay the standard App Store price.

Codes: TRANSFORM, TRAIN30, LIFTNOW, or LYFTAFAST.

If you're tired of your current app crashing or feeling cluttered, give this one a shot. Has anyone else made the switch yet?

Best Gym Tracking App

Hey guys,
In the past I have found it hard to stay consistent because I overthought workouts and didn’t really track progress properly.

But now I’ve started just using a simple tracking app called Lyfta to log sets/reps so I can actually see what I’m lifting week to week instead of guessing. That alone has helped me stay a bit more consistent.

Curious what other people here did when they were starting out — did you follow programs, apps, or just wing it until you learned? I don't know where I would be without that app!

New to the Gym and Found a nice App to use!

I’ve just started going to the gym and I honestly don’t want to overthink programming yet.
Luckily enough, I've found something that just tells me what to do each session (sets/reps/weights) so I can focus on showing up consistently.

Right now I’ve been using Lyfta because it’s pretty simple for logging workouts and following routines without needing to plan everything myself.

If anyone’s in the same boat, I think the promo code STRENGTH30 still worked for a discount last time I checked I got 70% off the year subscription only needing to pay a couple dollars a month!! There is a free version as well though which is very good: Lyfta App
