[Discussion] From 2000 - Present: What album or run maximized both quality and quantity?

I’ll confess the iceman and Drake discussions, particularly around quality versus quantity, got me wondering who did both at the same time the best in modern hip-hop ( let’s say 2000 and beyond)?

I guess you could take this question different ways. Quantity as in volume of music while still maintaining elite quality. Or, popularity and sales without compromising quality.

I’m sure there are many examples, who did it best?

Chicago (2002): Am I supposed to root for anybody in this movie?

I feel kind of dumb. I feel like I’m missing something. Pretty much every single person except John C Riley is a complete piece of shit in this movie.

Am I supposed to be rooting for any of these people?

Granted I think I’m only about halfway through maybe a little more but I’m just not really sure how I’m supposed to be taking this in cause honestly you just kind of makes me feel gross.

May 2010 Betty White: Is there any story as to why there were so many alumni women featured

Tina, Amy, Maya, Molly, Ana, Rachel (maybe more?)

And they weren’t just one cameo. They were featured multiple times throughout the episode.

No issues, it just stood out to me as unusual. Is there any specific story behind this? Is it just because Betty White was there? (It may have also been Mother’s Day?)

Did Zach Galifianakis shave his beard mid-show for a sketch?

Watching S35 E16

He has a beard, then doesn’t for the last sketch. The the goodbyes looks like a fake beard. I went back and his beard doesn’t look the same in his monologue or the previous sketches, it looks real in those.

Any lore here?

Look not trying to it’s ok just asking philosophically. But say drunk driving as an example.

In sex, we say you aren’t in your right mind to make certain decisions, and are not bound to them, it’s not your fault, you didn’t know better etc etc.

But in other drunk situations we don’t have that same attitude. You’re to be held fully responsible for your own drunk decision/actions.

Not saying any one or the other is good or ok or anything, just interested in the discussion.

(And not just from a legal standpoint, societal as well)

To be clear: Fred Armisen is incredible.

Which is what made this so jarring to me.

Going back to watch the old Andy, Bill, Kristen era and I was shocked how weird Fred’s Obama impression was. I thought maybe it was just his first attempt, but it really didn’t get a whole lot better. There are times, without context, I’d likely have no idea that was supposed to be Obama.

Haha, no real hate meant, just a fun discussion, Armisen is an all time great.
