Baby abandoned on the London Underground

A cat led me to a dead body in New York

During a business trip to New York, I was staying at a friend’s apartment on the Upper East Side. Every morning around 6 a.m., I’d leave the building for work and, strangely, I kept seeing the same beautiful cat sitting near the entrance.

At first, I thought it was just hungry. So I started giving it whatever I had with me — a snack, part of a sandwich, sometimes even part of my lunch. But as the days went by, I began to feel like the cat was actually trying to tell me something. It would meow, walk a little ahead, then turn around to make sure I was following.

On the fifth day, curiosity got the best of me. I decided to follow it.

The cat led me to the door of an apartment in the neighboring building. And the moment I got there, I noticed a very strong smell of decomposition. I immediately called the police.

They discovered that the owner of the apartment, an elderly woman in her eighties with no children, had been dead for several days.

I still think about that cat sometimes. Honestly, without it, nobody would have realized anything was wrong for a long time.

I accidentally landed on my wife the first time we met

Every time I think about how I met my wife, it still makes me laugh.

A few years ago, I went on vacation to Miami and really wanted to try parasailing. Honestly, the experience was amazing… right up until the landing.

I completely messed up my descent and almost ended up in the water. Luckily — or maybe unluckily — there was a jet ski right below me… and I literally landed on it.

The funniest part is that the person driving it was a gorgeous brunette. I was incredibly embarrassed and apologized immediately. But instead of getting mad, she burst out laughing and simply said, “Nice to meet you.”

And that was the exact moment our whole story began.

My pilot friend accidentally made me call emergency services from his airplane

One day, I was peacefully fishing by Lake Geneva near Lausanne. It was super quiet, barely anyone around.

After a while, I noticed a small airplane in the distance. At first I didn’t pay much attention, but the closer it got, the more I realized it was repeatedly flashing its lights at me.

My brain instantly went into disaster mode.

I started thinking:
“Wait… maybe the pilot is trying to signal distress? Engine failure? Emergency landing?”

The plane kept circling near my direction, so the more I thought about it, the more convinced I became that he was trying to get someone’s attention on the ground.

Without hesitating, I called emergency services.

I tried explaining the situation as seriously as possible:
“Hello… there’s a plane above the lake flashing its lights at me… I think something might be wrong…”

Silence on the phone.

The operator slowly started talking to me like I was someone who had spent way too long under the sun.

Then came questions like:
“Uh… sir… are you sure the plane is signaling specifically to you?”

At that point, even I started doubting my own sanity.

About 30 minutes later, my phone rang.

It was my pilot friend.

First thing he said:
“HAHAHA did you see me? I flew over the lake, recognized you fishing, so I flashed my lights to say hi!”

That’s when I realized I had probably mobilized emergency services because my friend was saying hello to me from his airplane.

I tried to look confident at the gym today and accidentally stared at myself in the mirror for way too long. Now I’m the red flag

There was this guy next to me and I wanted to act calm and confident instead of awkward like usual.

So I looked up… straight into the mirror… and completely forgot he could probably see me doing that.

Now I’m pretty sure I looked like a psychopath analyzing my own reflection.

Never trust a mosquito

I arrived at my hotel room in Bali completely exhausted and just wanted to sleep.

But there was a mosquito constantly buzzing around my ear.

After 30 minutes, I couldn’t take it anymore. So I thought:
“Fine… take some blood and leave me alone.”

So I literally held out my arm and let it bite me.

It flew away.

Silence.

I smiled and closed my eyes…

Then I heard multiple mosquitoes.

That little bastard came back with reinforcements.
