Hey everyone, I'm 20 and doing medicine (India) and honestly it's a bit too much with all the exams. So I want to know how is the work-life balance of a female doctor, before and after marriage.
Hey guys, I'm looking to talk with a few people since I have to kill a few hours. I like learning about biology and history. I'm from Inida, play basketball on the weekends and read based on my mood. I just found about role playing and really love it, so if anyone wants to do it with me I'm down. I mostly want to do, medieval themed role play but I'm open to any script
So, a little backstory before we go in. I come from a very conservative family, my choices when I turned 18 are either clear my NEET or get married (my parents are rich enough to buy a seat, they already did for my brother) Luckly I did it and am now studying medicine. But after that they started asking me to meet various guys for an AM, I am allowed to reject anyone I don't like, and could do that until I finish my studies (they hope, I'll fall in love with one of their choices and marry before my education is complete) Now fastforward to today, I was supposed to meet a guy let's call him A. All I knew about him was his name and a photo. I don't consider myself super attractive, but I reguraly work out to stay in shape and I expect the same from my partner. He wasn't that, and I was already a bit pissed because my parents know that I want my partner to work out. I'm there, waiting in a relatively good restaurant compared to the usual ones I eat at because A wanted the meeting to take place there. I waited...for 1 freaking hour from the agreed upon time before he showed up. His excuse? He wanted to get ready properly when meeting his future wife. Most of the time during these meetings I don't ask any questions and this was the same so A was leading the conversation. His questions? My past relationships, how much dowry would my parents give, can I cook (classic one), will I stop studying if I get married, and my friends. Other than the questions he mentioned he gets 5lpm, has multiple cars, 2 houses, and 5 maids (still expects me to cook) So, I already thought it was a heavy no. Then the food we orderd came, I told him to eat in silence because I like it that way, and he listened surprisingly. After the food was done (he decided we were done, I really wanted to have some dessert) He asked me to pay the bill. Why? If I was planning on working after marriage I should prove myself by paying now. And the guy ate twice as much as me. I was tired due to an entire day of lectures and his stupidity so I paid the bill. His final words to me were "I'll talk with your father about us, don't worry" and left. Forgot to mention, he was in his early thirties.
Sorry for the long rant, I don't know what else to do to relieve my frustation. If you read the entire thing, thank you for listening to my rant.
