My name is XX XXX. I completed my B.Com between 2021–2024 while simultaneously pursuing Chartered Accountancy, believing it to be the highest qualification in finance. Coming from a background without career guidance or mentorship, I was unaware of the CFA Program until I began studying Financial Management during my CA Intermediate preparation in 2023. That subject changed my perspective completely and sparked my interest in investment analysis, financial markets, and portfolio management.

Since then, I have actively explored equity markets, derivatives, mutual funds, and wealth creation through long-term investing. I completed NISM Series VIII and am currently pursuing NISM Series XV, along with an equity research cohort. Over time, I realized that I want to build a career in equity research or portfolio management, fields that require not only technical competence but also strong ethical foundations and credibility, values closely associated with the CFA Program.

However, pursuing CFA alongside my PGDM has become financially difficult. My father is the sole earning member of our family and is already managing a home loan as well as my education expenses, which makes upto 50% of his monthly income. Paying the standard CFA fees would place a significant financial burden on him, which is why this scholarship is extremely important for me.

Despite financial constraints, I have remained committed to learning independently through financial news, certifications and practical market exposure. I also encouraged my parents to begin investing for the future and started my own investment journey with a small monthly amount of $25 back in 2023.

In the long run, I hope to contribute back by promoting financial literacy, mentoring aspiring investors, and upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity in finance.

What would happen if I select one range below the actual range to increase my chances of getting it? Do they conduct scrutiny? How would they even know how much my actual household income is?

Hi guys! I hope y'all are doing well.

I heard that there has been a change in the Personal Statement question, and hence all prior guidance is kinda waste now. What is the change and what can be done or what to keep in mind while writing the statement? Any help is much appreciated.

Also, can I carry forward the scholarship if granted? For instance, I am applying for Feb 2027. If I'm unable to take the exam at that time, may I request that the scholarship be carried forward to May 2027?

Thank you!
