Only Mongol Posts Allowed
From now on, this subreddit will only allow posts about the Mongols, the nation of Mongolia, the region of Mongolia, Proto-Mongols, etc. I have updated the rules and description accordingly, and will start clearing up the flairs soon.
It kinda bugged me for a while that we allowed memes about any Central Asian civilization, so I have created r/SteppePosting to be the new home of generic steppe memes, so that r/MongolHistoryMemes can focus on its actual theme.
Also, reminder that we have a discord server (now shared with SteppePosting) https://discord.gg/SNfAc9zdse
Birth of a Subreddit
For a while now, as mod of r/MongolHistoryMemes, I disliked how we allowed all forms of steppe memes when the subreddit name was MongolHistoryMemes. So, after looking back to our discussions when we were first determining the name of the subreddit, I decided to create this new subreddit, r/SteppePosting. It's been something in my thoughts for weeks now but I finally decided to pull the trigger.
There was also issues where people would post questions and discussions in MongolHistoryMemes that I'd have to remove. Thus, in r/SteppePosting, we will allow memes, discussions, questions, and anything related to the nomadic peoples of the steppe.
I'll be crossposting a bunch of stuff from r/MongolHistoryMemes just to fill the subreddit a bit, but I'll also start working on some new OC to crosspost out of the subreddit.
One last thing: there will be one discord server for r/MongolHistoryMemes and r/SteppePosting. This way we won't split the community of steppe enjoyers.

After our server was deleted almost two years ago, I finally decided to remake the server. Join and invite any friends interested in Mongol, Turkic, nomadic, or steppe history!
