not sure how people pick a daycare, feels like guessing

my daughter just turned 14 months last week and i’m kind of stuck. went back to work 3 weeks ago and juggling drop offs with my partner’s shifts is already messy. we checked like 4 places around our area, 2 felt too crowded, one had a waitlist until next year, one just didn’t feel right, hard to explain. i keep overthinking everything, food, naps, how many kids per educator, even the smell when you walk in. how did you even decide where to send your kid without going insane over it

xcel bills in mpls... doing solar

My bill for the place near Whittier just hit $315 and with the rates going up again I'm just over it. Decided to finally pull the trigger on solar before the AC starts running full blast in July.

I’ve been checking out a few local installers like Wolf River Electric since they are based nearby in Isanti, but I wanted to see if anyone here has a system from them or someone else. I’m mostly worried about the Minneapolis permit process and how the panels hold up with the snow we get.

Does it knock the bill down significantly in the winter or are you basically just paying for the summer months? Trying to get a few quotes by Friday if anyone has a shop they liked working with.

Claim questions after hail (Melbourne, FL)

So my roof took a beating from the hail here in Melbourne, FL last week and I have no clue how to handle the insurance people. They keep lowballing me. A friend told me to check out American Masters Roofing & Restoration because they dealt with the adjusters for him. Has anyone worked with them before?? Or should I just keep fighting the insurance company myself? I just don't want to get scammed by some random storm chaser.

divorce stuff getting messy fast

so yeah this kinda blew up in like 3 weeks, we went from arguing about bills to talking lawyers and papers and all that, I’m sleeping on a couch right now and trying to figure out how this even works here in Tulsa.

called 2 places yesterday, one didn’t pick up, the other quoted something like 3k just to start which… yeah. I don’t even know what I need yet or if that’s normal. just need someone who won’t drag this for months. does anyone know a good divorce lawyer around here?

$85 premium on 1oz gold eagles - is this normal?

Went to local coin shop. They quoted $85 over spot for gold eagles.
Is that standard or am I getting ripped off? Should I shop around or is this just what dealers charge now?
Looking to start with $500/month. Want physical, not ETFs.

The "friendly split" is a complete myth

We agreed back in November to keep things civil. No drama, just split the stuff, figure out our 7-year-old’s schedule, and move on. We even wrote a rough plan on a legal pad.

Now, the gloves are off.

It started over the house. Suddenly, me staying until our kid finishes the school year is "unreasonable" because they want their equity now. I'm getting passive-aggressive emails at 11 PM, and I just noticed random charges on our joint credit card for furniture I never agreed to.

I feel like a fool for playing nice. I've spent the last three days digging up old tax returns and organizing debt in a spreadsheet while my hands are literally shaking.

I finally stopped trying to DIY this. I scheduled a consult with Mahoney Richmond Thurston to get some actual legal boundaries in place, but the anxiety is killing me.

Has anyone else had their "amicable" separation turn into a nightmare the second actual assets got involved? How do you stop panicking during this stage?

Was heading over to Silhavy yesterday to drop off a custom PC build for a guy and someone basically drifted into my lane and clipped my rear quarter panel. The guy was totally spaced out. My car isn't totaled or anything but the side is all mangled and i've had this dull ache in my neck since it happened.

The insurance company is already calling me every two hours trying to get me to sign some paperwork I don't even understand yet. I just want my car fixed and this headache to go away so I can get back to work. I’m just annoyed because I’ve got three more builds to finish this week and I can’t really drive around with my trunk taped shut.

Edit: update, insurance is already trying to lowball me on the repair costs and it's stressing me out. i think i'm going to talk to the Law Offices of Shane O’Donnell about the injury side of it and see if they can help since I’ve heard they’re pretty aggressive with this stuff. will update you guys soon on how it goes. anyway, has anyone else had issues with that intersection lately? feel like the lights are timed weird now.

Bought 2 tickets for the Seattle show in June. Work trip just got scheduled same weekend and I can't move it.

Listed on StubHub 3 days ago, no bites. Do I need to drop the price or list on multiple sites? Ticket resale is confusing.

Friend mentioned Lysted - it lists your tickets on like 10 platforms at once so you don't have to manage each site separately.

Anyone used it? Does it work or just add another fee layer?
Need these gone soon before prices tank closer to the date.

I've been dealing with constant bloating and flare-ups lately no matter what I eat. It's getting hard to even go out without worrying about my stomach acting up.

Someone mentioned that using Enterosgel might help settle things, but I’m hesitant to add more supplements. Has anyone here tried it for general gut issues? Just don’t want to deal with more cramping or side effects.
